  1. Hi all,

just looking for some help/opinions, I have an aftermarket air filter/induction kit that was fitted to the car when I bought it and am currently wondering whether or not i should convert back to stock, i'm looking for opinions and help as it would involve buying a standard box and pipe etc so any help would be appreciated. I have previously spoken to zmanalex who has been a great help so far. Any opinions/help welcome.

  2. glad it all worked :teeth:

I cant help with the exhaust but I will say I changed mine also as I had similar tips to yours, got them changed out for nice stainless slight oval rolled tip ones, look miles better imo.

  3. bose sub fix, there is a guide but basically if you access the small amp behind the sub and to the left, you can open it and you will see a large relay, jam a bit of paper or card between the casing and the relay, it sounds a bit ghetto but trust me 99% of the time thats the problem mines has been "fixed" like this for over a year now :yahoo:

    1) put the driver seat forward to give you room.

    2) using a flat head screwdriver, pop the subwoofer cover off - starting at the top.

    3) using a 10mm socket, remove the subwoofer and move it to the side. Disconnecting it completely is up to you, but not necessary.

    4) using a 10mm socket, "loosen" the 2 bolts that secure the amplifier and slide it up and out to release it.

    5) disconnect the amplifier and remove it from the car.

    6) remove the 4 phillips screws that holds the amplifier to it's cover.

    7) using a flat head screw driver, pop the amplifier open- there's a little slot at 1 end of the amp to pop it open. then swing the lid open like a book.

    8) located inside the amp, there is a gray or white box on the circuit board- that is the problematic relay!

    9) i took a small piece of paper and folded it up to match the size of the relay. I wrapped it in electrical tap to keep it from unfolding and then taped it to the top of the relay. When the lid of the amp is reinstalled, it will push against the paper, putting downward pressure onto the relay.

    10) Now, re-assemble

airbag reset, this worked for me,

    1. Turn ignition switch from OFF to ON.

    2. Air Bag warning lamp is on for 7 seconds and turns off, then turn ignition switch OFF within 1 second of the lamp turning off.

    3. After ignition switch is turned OFF, wait for more than 3 seconds.

    4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 two more times. (Perform 3 times in total.)

    5. Turn Ignition switch ON.

    6. The SRS lamp has been reset it.

    hope this helps mate
