  1. Hi all, if a 370z had an ecutek map applied when the car had stillen intakes and cat back exhaust but was then put back to OEM intakes and exhaust, would the remap need to be removed also? Would it run badly or over fuel etc if left in place?

  2. .

I'm now kicking about in a white Evo 5

    Any pictures?

Just the one below for the minute. As you know Andy, I was going for either a Supra, Evo or RX-7 and as this one came up and ticked all the boxes before any of the other two, I went for it. Had to go all the way to Blackpool for it. Not quite as long as your journey for the Zed but long enough..

  3. Looking good! Will miss seeing it around St. Albans lol. I love my 370 but that 350 is something special ;)

Hey, Simon - yeah I doubt you'll ever see it in St Albans again but I still see your 370 occassionaly in the mornings.

I'm now kicking about in a white Evo 5, so if you see one flash 'hi' at you, you'll know who it is :-)

  4. It will have a label stamped on it (weldina I think?) to show its authenticity towards the back right as you look at it from the rear. The Nismo normally has rolled tips but saying that I've never seen a Nismo exhaust from an HR? Might be revised.

Yup, it has the Weldina Nismo plate!

    :-)

  5. Anybody know what the rims are called? Company name? Price ? Wishful thinking but I love them !!

if you read the Newera Imports link I added above, you will find lots of info on the spec.

It describes the wheels as '19" Andrew Premier Series Racing Evolution 5's' with a price of £3.5k (excluding tyres)

    :-)

  6. That's very cruel muckyman :p

I don't think that's a genuine Nismo S tune system though. The tail pipes are normally rolled, so not sure what that system is?

+ 1 that was my first impression too sorry , could be wrong though.

interesting, did Nismo do another exhaust for the 350Z apart from the S Tune?

Got another pic below in case that helps

  7. I'm now getting offers from our friends across the Channel for my PistonHeads advertised 350Z.

He offers £1500 less than the asking price saying that the cars not worth £5.5k plus he has to spend a lot to come over from France.

What anyone has to pay to come and see the car isn't my concern, and how does he know what it's worth - he hasn't viewed it!!

I suggested he didn't know what he was talking about and that there were other Zeds available nearer his budget and maybe one of those would suit him better, although they likely wouldn't be as good as mine.

Not heard anything back from him, and I'm not bothered in the slightest :-)

  8. Love the Ark exhaust. If I was ever to get rid of my Nismo, the Ark would be the one for me.

Not surprised to see more praise for Japex, they have always done superb work for me

  9. I would like to see Chris Harris as one of the other two presenters.

I think his youtube stuff is great, plus he does a bit of racing too. Very enthusiastic guy and I think his personality would work well against Evans'

As for the potential third presenter, I hope its not an appointment based on BBC target meeting political correctness.

  10. to be fair, if a mechanic has already looked at it and been unable to spot a fault then its fairly unlikely that forum members will be able to accurately diagnose the problem just from your description of the problem.

Best bet now I think, would be to take it to someone who specialises in these cars

Good luck with getting it fixed soon, must be frustrating.

  11.

Will you consider selling the Nismo exhaust mate?

Lol, that didn't take long to come up :-)

Yes, I'll be very happy to sell the Nismo exhaust.

£5.5k and its yours (I'll throw the car in for that price too, cause I'm nice)

(but seriously, no - I'll not be splitting anything off the car)

  12. Hmmmmm

Was just about to put my advert up (well, I did but its gone for moderation) and I noticed that you need 100 posts before doing 'for sale' posts. As I'm only on the mid 30's it'll likely get rejected :-(

Nevermind, I get free PistonHeads classifieds so I'll pop it on there this weekend. A bit of a shame as I wanted it to be on the forum for a few weeks before putting it on PH.

  13. the downside to changing cars so often is the hike the insurance guys put on for a change in policy, but what can you do eh?

Keep each for another six months and earn an extra year's ncb...? Just a thought.

The NCBs keep accumulating as it's just a vehicle change on the policy

  14. Hmmm,

    More fun - TVR Chimaera 450, VX220

    Quicker - Z3M Roadster

Better to drive (very subjective) - Mark 1 MR2 (had 3 over the years)

More fun, quicker and better to drive - Mark 1 MX5 turbo. Owned it twice and spent a lot of money on it. 245bhp from a 1.6 impresses. A lot.

  15. Love the idea of changing cars every 6 months

Great way of getting rid of your money

    Pete

thats one way of looking at it.

Personally, I see it more as not falling foul of much depreciation (actually sold my Celica GT4 for more that I paid for it a month earlier) - plus theres the added benefit of enjoying different cars a few times each year.

In an ideal world I would have a huge garage and unlimited funds :-)
