  1. I know the knocking issue has been posted numerous times but I have done the usual and still the problem persists. Car is absolutely standard apart from the new bushes and adjustable droplinks that have been fitted. Anybody have any suggestions? Car is an absolutely standard 2005 roadster apart from the new bushes and adjustable droplinks that have been fitted. It developed a knock in the right front suspension when going over rough surfaces. Did not happen on a smooth surface and more noticeable at slower speeds. Here is what I have done so far; 1. Complete replacement of front suspension bushes (both sides) including the compression (banana) arm. 2. Fitted New droplinks (adjustable). 3. Checked anti roll bar bushes and they are good. 4. Checked all the ball joints and they seem ok. 5. Checked track rod ends and they seem ok. 6. Calipers solid 7. No movement of pads 8. Re-torqued all fixings including top mounts and torsion bar. No noise coming from the wheel bearing either. Jacked up with the wheel and I cannot detect any lateral movement at all. Took my car to a car park today that has different surfaces to see if I could learn a little more. Driving slowly in a straight line as soon as the right front wheel hits the rough surface I get the knocking. Doing the same with the left front wheel, no noise. If I repeat the procedure but drive on full lock (left or right) the noise disappears. The noise also reduces if a brake gently but it is definitely not the pads. This driving me nuts - any help gratefully accepted. Anybody live close by? (Betws y Coed)
  2. I replced the banana arm bushes, rattle (knock?) persists over uneven surface. Has to be suspension related, no noise on smooth surfaces at any speed, straight road or bends. No more bushes left to change, two new droplinks fitted, anti roll bar bushes are good. I have a new hub to fit but the old one makes no noise whatsoever. This noise is specifically front right, lots of people asking the same question on 350z forums worldwide but no answers other than the usual. Anybody ever get the same noise from a suspension strut topmount? I have a spare set of banana arm bushes if anybody would like to make me an offer (bought two sets in case I got it wrong).
  3. Suffering same problem as described in the first post and yes, braking removed the noise. Coming from front offside. I have renewed the compression arm bushes, in fact I have renewed all the front suspension bushes. Ball joints are good. Disconnected droplinks to make sure it was not the anti roll bar bushes. No play in hub either. Really rattles over ruts. Any body else find a cause/cure?
  4. Both in stock and good to go same/next day Front Hub £225.00 Front Compression Arm £335.00 Alex.
  5. Try a PM to zmanalex or r35lee. And welcome, I'm only 17 mile down the road from you. Not been on the Forum for while..... thank you for the welcome, I will keep an eye out - mine is a black roadster (some of the time - with all the roadworks on the A5 and A470 its mostly a muddy beige!!)
  6. Looks like I need to replace the drivers side "banana bar" on my 2005 Roadster. Anyone know where I can get one of these online? Live out in the sticks in North Wales so taking the lazy route. I also need to change the front drivers side hub, getting noisy. Americans can buy these for $160 maybe we should import some as a group buy. In the meantime - any discounts available for either of above to members? thanks in advance.
