  1. Still not got my Zed yet (although I am on the final countdown) so thought I'd post up what I do have. This is my big boy Timmy who i adopted 2 years ago from the Cats Protection League after he was sent there when his owner died. He still freaks out if you lie on the floor too long and licks and nudges you til you move. Make: Oversized Moggy Model: Tripod Age: 8 Likes: Licking noses, food and sleeping on you Dislikes: Strangers, loud noises, fast movements, being picked up, being groomed He's a big wimp really, but I wouldn't have him any other way His favorite sleeping position, I'm sure he thinks someone's going to steal this leg His most favorite toys in the world, he doesn't react to catnip but these valerian knotties certainly do the trick, I can't even get them out the bag sometimes!! I have a video of him playing with this but have no idea how to post it from photobucket Vix
  2. I bought on a First Time Buyer's Scheme a couple of years ago (they don't actually do these anymore they're just Homebuyer Schemes so you don't actually have to be a FTB - in Kent anyway). I own 100% of the Title but have two Charges, one is my mortgage and the other comes from the government. I have 61% with mortgage and deposit and the government have 39%. You don't pay rent on the 39% as the property is yours but you have to pay interest on it. The interest starts after 3 years (I'm selling next year, fingers crossed, so won't actually have to pay any of it!) at 1% and goes up every year to a maximum of 3%, you can pay off the Charge if you want to. I was supplied with a mortgage broker who was really helpful (the mortgage company even knocked the builders down £15k on the purchase price) and as long as I used the solicitors that were recommended by the builders, they paid my fees including stamp duty. I didn't need a big deposit either you just had to prove you had £6k in savings and earn over £20k a year. This was the best thing for me as there was no way in my area that I could afford to rent let alone buy and I don't regret it at all. Just make sure you read the small print. I didn't find out until after I bought it that the Charge the government have increases by minimum of 2.4% each year (after the first 3 years) so if you stay there and don't pay off any of the charge itself, you'll probably end up with a bigger Charge than your mortgage! Thankfully I won't be there long enough but I do think they are a good place to start and has got me on the property ladder. Also (although I don't know how true this is and am wary of it myself) I was told by the mortgage broker that if the price drops and I sell the hit is taken by the government charge and not me so I don't lose out but as I said I'm not sure I believe this! At the end up the day its up to you and your circumstances but there are options out there and I have seem them on older properties not just new builds, but new builds you tend to get better deals i.e. fees/stamp duty paid for. Not sure if this makes sense as I'm a bit of a rambler but hope it helps lol Vix
  3. Try these guys, I think they're near Horsham, they have a great rep with mkivsupra.net, this is where mine will eventually be going when I finally get one!! http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=206312 Vix
  4. Your Z is lovely Paul, really liked the green too, but not sure I'd be too popular if I got a car the same colour More pics should be coming from the garage today or tomorrow, they prefer to send loads of pics rather than one or two so you can really see the progress. From what I hear Michael will soon have his mistress back Vix
  5. Pics are great but don't do the car justice, the work that has/is being carried out is outstanding. Can't wait til she comes home, all I need now is a booster seat so I can see over the steering wheel PS I'm the girlfriend who's looking for a Zed For anyone who wants a closer look, we'll hopefully be at JAE, where no doubt I'll be studying your cars for ideas Vix
  6. We But Any Car and Car Craft are the same company. They buy off you ridiculously cheap and then sell it on 2-3k more than its actually worth with minimum 29% Apr on their finance and get all stroppy if you don't want the finance. WBAC also don't give you what they quote as when they look at it they scrutinise so closely that even a small pin dent or stone chip will knock about £100 per bit of damage.
