  1. Best advice is to keep calm and think of your family, you wouldn't be posting it on here if you hadn't already worked that out for yourself.

If you get banged up for sorting him out then he's deffo got away with it and you'd probably get clobbered for damages to, he'd have a right laugh (once out of hospital I'm guessing :boxing: )

The garage isn't bothered about the scratches so that's a result. You'll be moving soon so result again.

In the short term, buy a cheap wireless cctv system and put it up to cover your cars. If he does it again you have your proof and you can do whatever you feel is appropriate (I'd try plod myself and make him pay through his pocket).

Family first always mate. It's the right choice.

  2. Don't know if it's the arviva one or not, I did it over the phone with the dealer and I got an email within a few minutes with my 7 day cover and an annual premium offer.

The insurance scheme is called 'nissan free to go' and is administered by Equity Direct Broking if that helps.

Seems to me dealers are making the rules up as they go

  3. I don't get it regarding the 7 day insurance?

I used this for getting my car taxed so they do insure the 370z as part of the Nissan drive away?

Get back on to the dealer and tell them it can be done, I've still got the quote in my inbox. This is Nissan 7 day cover?

Deffo can be done. Is it an age thing, I'm an old git 44?

  4. Cheers all, Pics don't do the colour justice to be fair. I'm going to slap some wax on today and maybe the sealer and see if I can get some better ones.

I believe today's the day for a new black one to be picked up :teeth: get some pics up!

Still making my mind up about the exhaust note, going to contact my insurer to see if they will load my premium if I fit an aftermarket one.

I love the VXR8 by the way, no problems with exhaust note there I guess!

  5. Thanks, I can't say how pleased I am with the car. It ticks every box for me and value for money doesn't get any better!

Just need to feed her plenty of 99 ron now, to make her purr!

If anyone is wondering whether to buy one then just do it, you won't regret it!

  6. Picked it up Tuesday. GT Coupe no sat nav.

Just given it a polish with meg's step 2 (first time I've used it and it was hard work).

Going to wax and seal it over the next couple of days.

Thought I'd post it as I haven't seen any Le Mans Blue ones on here. Glad I picked it, the pearl paint looks great in the sun (which wasn't out when the pics were taken).

    Cheers

  7. Had a quick reply from Kev and he has nothing but praise for the Scorpion, quiet cruising and great under load, so I'm probably going to go down that route and save myself £600.

Thanks for your help and thanks to Kev for the quick reply.

Car is in at the dealers :yahoo: so I'll probably drive it for a week or two then get the new exhasut fitted so I can appreciate the difference.

    Cheers

  8. Cheers gents, I've read through that already and done the rounds of YouTube clips and I'm struggling to make my mind up.

I wanted to know what the scorpion is like in car cruising and under load. Also how do the stillen and scorpion compare quality wise.

None the wiser at the minute!

  9. Are there many 370z owners with this exhaust and how do they find it?

I've priced up to import a Stillen CB and it works out about £1400.

I want an exhaust which makes a good sound under acceleration, but can be lived with for cruising and the Stillen seems to fit the bill even if it is pricey.

Any advice welcome, car is coming next week. I might have to bite the bullet and get the Stillen.

    Cheers

  10. You don't pay orangewheels a penny.

They have deals with certain dealers and they advertise the price the dealers will sell the cars for. I guess they then get some money from the dealer for introducing you.

It's the first time I've tried this so I was a bit unsure like you, but you do all your deal with the Nissan main dealer. No need for haggling as you know the price, you pay your deposit to the dealer. Haven't had any confirmation, but I made sure the number calling me was the garage in question. The deposit has gone out against the garage, so I'm confident it's all legitimate.

The car I'm getting was in the UK unregistered so I ordered it Monday and I should get it next week hopefully, can't wait.

The dealer is in Knaresborough and I'm in Kettering. A couple of hours drive. I love the blue although I know it's not to some peoples tastes!

If you want to wait until I get it, I can let you know if it all goes ok

  11. See what orangewheels can do for you.

I've just ordered a manual Le Mans Blue Coupe GT (No sat nav) £3k off list.

I think you can get £3k off the car.

They are just an introduction service, they get their kickback from the dealer and you get to do your deal with the main dealer.

    No haggling needed.

I'm getting my car from Mills Nissan, they gave the the pex I wanted for the old, can't fault the way it works.

    Cheers

  12. Thanks for the welcomes.

Car should be at the dealers by the end of the week and pick it up some time next week.

Brand new, unregistered GT Coupe £3K discount, from a main dealer. Went through orangewheels web site which was a top service, and the dealer gave me the pex I wanted for the Tiguan. Car was available for immediate delivery.

I wasn't sure about the colour until I saw it in the flesh. I think it looks great. If it's good enough for Bugatti! :teeth:

Plenty of yellow ones available which I believe used to be a preference of a few people on here :scare: , but I'd be worried about selling it later.

I guess it's another marmite colour.

Done black to death and never seen a Red one so I tried to get a white/blue or grey.

The delaer I test drove the car with (which was blue) wouldn't give any discount and wanted me to buy the demo but wait until September for it when it would be 6 months old...no chance.

Get your sunglasses ready for the pics next week B)

    Cheers

  13. Hi

Used to have an 05 plate 350z convertible a few years ago, then went mad and bought a Cooper S (worst car ever), then a Focus ST(great car) and ...wait for it....a diesel VW Tiguan :bangin: I am an old git though!

I have now seen the light again and ordered a Le Mans Blue 370z GT, which hopefully I'll be getting next week.

The car is incredible...an absolute rocket! I just need to learn how to drive again.

Look forward to contributing on the forum. I'm in Kettering if anyone spots me.

    Cheers

    Phil
