I sold my Nismo recently for a few reasons, but not disatisfaction. It's all about what you want from the car really.

There are undeniably 'better'  cars for similar money and the 370 platform is showing it's age, but they put such a big smile on your face, turn heads and feel special in a way that few other cars do. I doubt you'd be disappointed with the Nismo.

Just remember that you will definitely want to change the exhaust so budget for that.

Thanks for that, the 370z just looks a bit more special than most cars in its price range. I've been looking at the usual suspects M240i, golf R etc. Planning to test drive them all though before I decide. Ordered the RS straight after the test drive but won't be doing that again.

  2. Hi, used to have a le man's blue 2010 GT, really miss the car. Sold it 4 years ago and looking at the current prices I could have run it and got about the same sale price now! So now in the position to get a bit of a toy and keep getting drawn to the Nismo, especially with the lower VED, bonus. I did have a focus RS edition model on order but the engine issues have put me off and I've cancelled it. Fantastic car to drive though!

Planning to get a test drive at Exeter Nissan, anyone have anything good or bad to say about them or the car? Has much changed?

    Thanks for any advice.

    Cheers Phil

  3. There was a stick on HKS badge which is on my xbox if you'd like a pic! Wasn't sure it would survive under the car.

At least some of the parts are etched with the specific part number, ie BNxxxx

It makes a great sound, I realise how much now the standard setup is back on...boring.

  4. As per the title, a genuine HKS hi power Ti exhaust bought from Abbey. Only the tips are Ti the rest is SUS304 stainless.

If you want to hear it there are plenty of YouTube vids from across the pond, I think this is the only one in the UK. True Dual and sounds lovely with zero drone.

I'm based in the Plymouth area but I will be driving up to Kettering at the end of September so I could meet a buyer en-route or deliver if it's not too far out of the way.

    Price £1k.

New you are looking at around £1900.

  5. Surely the width of a Zed can't be the only decision to offload - it's hardly the widest of cars - if you meet another car in most vehicles you'll be stuck on a narrow road (unless you get a bike!). Best of luck with the sale, any trade-in I've ever received has been a ****-take, but maybe my expectations are too high.

I know what you are saying, if you want to cut 28 miles off of your round trip then the lanes I have to go through are single track with passing places, the banks are rock and the width is tight. Yes any car will have the same problem but if I'm in a euro box then I'll take the unavoidable scuffs and bumps on the chin, who wants to drive around in a 370 when it's covered in scuff marks? Not the only reason...my beachcasters don't fit in the Z!!! Practicality was high on the list of reasons which didn't matter before I moved here and I can't afford to run a second car.

Pex was ok, not amazing but ok, Parkers guide 14980 ...I got 14350 sale agreed so from the 10th I'll be driving around in a ford focus which although boring will mean I can abandon it where I want and go fishing without worrying and get all my gear in.

I'll put a for sale thread up for the exhaust once it's off, probably at the weekend.

  6. Very sad day for me, I've had 3 fantastic years with the car but moving to Devon and the narrow roads where I live means time for a reality check and the 370 has to go. I can't afford to run a third car unfortunately. I'm probably going to do the easy thing and part ex the car, I'll be having a trip to Vospers in Plymouth this morning to see what they will give me. If I think it's to low I may do a for sale thread as I'm not in any massive rush to sell.

Decision made. This means I will be selling my genuine HKS hi power Ti exhaust which as far as I'm aware is the only one in the UK...or at least on this forum.

If I end up selling the car myself I'll look to keep the exhaust on the car if possible. I'll update the thread after I've been to vospers.

  7. I sold a set recently with tyres, fronts 4mm, rears 2mm outers about 5mm inners...don't ask me why they wore like this I have no idea...£900. Wheels in pretty good nick, no kerbing but some signs of corrosion on spoke edges like all Rays seem to suffer. I wouldn't have taken any less even if the tyres had been at 1mm, these wheels don't come up for sale much so 800-1000 seems fair to me. The set zmanalex sold with nearly new tyres were a bargain for £1500.

  8. Scraped my rear bumper this afternoon trying to tuck in against the side in the lanes around where I live. It's not terrible but is down to the plastic in places so will need spraying. Enough to bug me big time.

Any recommendations within 20 or so miles of Plymouth? I've seen this place on the web anyone used them?

I'm starting to think the 370 just isn't the right car for the roads down here so there may be a for sale thread coming very soon! I need a shed I don't give a toss about but keeping two cars isn't an option.

    Thanks in advance.

  9. HKS hi power Ti...true dual, sounds great and top quality. I think I'm the only one in the UK at the minute...is that good or bad??? I like the look of the separate silencers at the rear, looks way better than a single box IMO.

I'd like some berks and an Uprev but redundancy in the next two weeks means holding fire for the moment.

    Supplied by Abbey.

  10. Always love an England v Scotland clash, sat here with a tin of europish (fosters) expecting a 2-0 win. Rooney sticking himself in the shop window for a Chelski move so he might give it some.

    Come on England!
