  1. Reluctantly selling due to a change in circumstances.

    2004 - 04 - we are the fourth owners

83,000 miles (This is our daily driver so mileage will go up)

    Taxed until November

    GT Pack

    Rays alloys

    Bose stereo

    Black leather interior

    Full service history

All keys present including the grey key

    Rear parking sensors

    Factory fitted satnav with remote

Boot seperator (fills the gap under the rear strut brace, cant remember the correct name for it)

Has Ferodo DS 2500 pads and DBA rotors on the front - fitted around 12 months ago, bought from ZMANALEX.

All four tyres are Falken FK452's with excellent tread on them.

We have owned the car around 2 and a half years and have loved every minute of it. The car has been no trouble at all, we have had to replace one of the cam shaft sensors just before new year, done at Nissan Huddersfield.

The car is in great condition, however, it does have some not so good bits...

There is a spot of rust on the lip of the bonnet, i assume this has come from a stone chip. - PICs NOW ATTACHED

There is a spot of rust on the drivers side rear wheel arch - PICs NOW ATTACHED

The rear drivers side wheel has got some corrosion on it. - PIC NOW ATTACHED

There are some scuffs/marks on the seats caused by studs on jeans pockets. - I have managed to get rid of most of these now

The heated rear window doesn't work, we have no idea why.

The MOT and service are due in March of this year, so have priced as follows:

I don't believe the car will have any problems getting through the MOT at all, it may just require a new wiper blade on the passenger side.

Car location is Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

PRICE NOW REDUCED £5,995 OVNO as we have put deposit down on another car.

Proof of insurance will be required to test drive the car.

    Thanks for looking.

    Michael.

  2. Did you get an answer to this?????

Our zed has just given us the same problem on the motorway. ESP OFF light, Skid light and engine management light have all come on and stayed on, car now struggles to start.

    What was the problem???

  3. I passed my test years back but new bikes are so much easier than old ones.

Try and go for a new fuel injected model ( Honda cbr 125/ Yamaha ybr 125) really easy to use and no messing about with chokes and carbs.

Cut your teeth on something like that, they have enough to get you out of trouble but are forgiving too if you stall or are on a wet road.

Old bikes are great but things have moved on, not only will they will expensive to insure but they haven't got the light weight of a newer bike or the new technology.

Once you can progress up to a 33bhp go for something like a Kawasaki 250 Ninja, fab bikes, look the dogs bits and are very learner friendly. Resale value is great too if you want to move on after a full test.

I got back into biking a few years ago and have one, great fun but not dangerously fast :D

Cheers mate, Never really thought of the 250's! I'll have a browse of the classifieds and see what might take my fancy.

  4. Gonna do my CBT and bike test before xmas, dilemma is new 125, or old 400 sports bike? may take the DAS, but dont really want anything bigger than a 400 due to insurance and running costs reasons.

Any bikes you have had or would recommend?

  5. Have done 200+ miles on the new brakes this weekend and it hasn't cured the squealing at the front under light breaking at slow speeds.

Rang the garage and he said the shims from the original wouldn't fit the ferodo pads.

Anything i can do to sort this noise out as its gonna **** the mrs off something chronic!

  6. Did you have shims on the pads you replaced? They need to go back on, if they are missing (and they commonly are) the pads will squeal for a while. Also copper paste on the backs of the pads helps. Mine are missing the shims, they squealed for a short while then the noise stopped altogether.

Not too sure, I'll ring them in the morning and find out if they replaced the shims or not. I did mention them when i dropped the car off this morning, but forgot to mention it when i picked the car up.

The old discs were literally flaking apart on the inside, but worryingly, still not an MOT failure according to the garage!

DBA + Ferodo FTW  I can tell the difference already. Thanks ZMANALEX for the brakes. Top bloke. I shall post in your appreciation thread.

  7. I'm gonna pop up onto the pennines this evening and sort it there. I was thinking too locally

Perfect road up on the 'border' between WY and Lancashire.

I bedded mine on a disused airfield and when from 100-40mph. This worked well and no issues. Not to say this is the correct way, but worked for me.

Unfortunately, I dont have a local disused airfield (at east i dont think it do!) :teeth:

  8. Just read this and am curious as to the bedding-in procedure.

I'm not sure there is anywhere locally to me that i would be able to achieve 60-10mph 10 times in a row. Is this gospel or is there room for adjusting the number of times you decelerate, or the speeds?

On DBA discs and DS2500 pads BTW.

  9. Going to Italy for our honeymoon and would like to be able to converse, although basically, in Italian.

I always feel rude when i'm in a country where English isn't the first language and the people I interact with are making an effort to speak English even though I'm in their country.

This time, I'd like to make an effort to learn at least a little bit of the lingo before we go (August).

    Anyone got any suggestions??

    Thanks

    M

  10. Hi mate. Never had the experience of a 182, but had 3 mk1 Clio 16v's. There isn't a day goes by that I don't miss my Clio. I loved that car. But the zed does put a massive smile on my face.

They do drive completely differently though, nimble quick Clio is way more chuckable but heavy powerful zed gives u more satisfaction when you get it right on good roads.

See if u can get a decent test drive in one and take it on some decent roads.

  11. As far as I thought, the 'Bose' unit is made by clarion. And as for Bose being the dogs, my sound dock in my kitchen is the best gadget I own, well, apart from my iPhone of course! Our Bose unit in the zed is less use than a one legged man in an arse kicking contest. It won't play CDs, at all, and will let me listen to my iPhone/iPod using the tape on a wire, but only through one side of the cars speaker setup. The radio works, but only if I'm in the open as my bee sting ariel(sp) sucks but I persevere with that because it looks nice

My advice is to save some pennies and get a new head unit mate, then take the 'Bose' and use it for target practice. This is exactly what I'll be doing when I get some coin together.

As for your other probs, sorry I'll be of no help!
