    Exhaust

The miltek system seems a little more civil then some of the others i've seen. I like the fact that they advertise that its made for performance and not noise. What are the benefits of the Y pipe? The miltek comes complete with its own Y pipe, will this work on the same principle as japspeeds? Also is there much difference in the performance between decat and hi flow cats? sorry for all the questions, just want to get all this right first time round!

    Exhaust

Good afternoon guys, got a few questions it somebody could be so kind and enlighten me! Currently own a 06 zed (287hp), had her for about 2 months and she already feels half as fast as she used too! time for a little shopping list! 1, motordyne plenum spacer 2, panel filter 3, miltek exhaust system 4, remap @ rs tuning My original list had decats on instead of the miltek, but i though what the hell. I am a little confused though about what exhaust components work together. excuse my ignorance but here are my questions! What is the japspeed y piece? what can it work with? Can you still use the decats with a performance exhaust? Is there any point? And I know this has been done to death but after many hours of searching I'm still no closer to picking a filter panel or induction kit. I just find it hard to believe that a simple replacement panel can gain more power then a full induction kit. Take the k&n typhoon for example, i've seem a dyno that proves a 6.5hp increase with that particular kit. And not like i believe everything I read but Japspeeds induction kit quotes a whooping 13-15hp increase, I mean are there no truths in these figures at all?
  4. Saturday and still no update? you didn't crash on the way home did you?

    Tyre width

Sounds good, thanks for the advice!

    Tyre width

What width of tyre will fit on a 18" ray's alloy on the rear of an 06 coupe? the only reason I ask is i've found some 255's cheaper then 245's. And would It be beneficial or detrimental to put wider tyres on?? Thanks guys.
  7. Mine's 06 but it's the pre-facelift model.
  8. Not meaning to hijack the thread in anyway but while where on the subject, does anybody have any idea what induction kit produces the most power for the Z?
  9. thought so but they not coming out at £488, unless they have had a price increase in the last couple of months.
  10. Keep us updated with the difference in performance, think i'll be heading down there before to long!
  11. Seems very cheap? Where was this from?

    Tyre problems

I think its pritty safe to say that there well under 3 years old, should i be concerned about the cracks?

    Tyre problems

well the cars 4 years old with 22000 miles, how long roughly do the front tyres normally last? they still have a decent amount of tread left so i very much doubt they are the original set from new.

    Tyre problems

back to my original post, do the tyres actually need replacing if they have cracks in them? its basically one continuous crack that runs right round the tyre by the thread indicator.

    Tyre problems

I dont mind paying an extra £130 if there noticabley better, i just dont fancy paying £900-£1000 for the likes of michelin.

    Tyre problems

If that was supposed to say camskill, lol, I've used them before very good value, I was thinking Falken 452's though. rt will now go into overdrive re the vredesteins ....... falkens are a good brand too not as expensive as the vreds but will do an eefective job at keeping you on the road. my personal prefererence of course is the vreds they are a better tyre all together Very sexy looking to I might add, anybody else have any preferences?

    Tyre problems

I'm going to express my anger tomorrow! Surely if you take your car to a nissan dealer to have the tyres changed they would change them for the factory tryes that are supposed to be fitted to the car! I'm going to push them for at least 2 new tyres. The federal tyres are ridiculous in the wet to the point where there just dam right dangerous, I mean I was coasting round a corner in the wet over the weekend at 40mph and the back end was all over the place.

    Tyre problems

Hi guys, I picked my 06 350z coupe up from a main dealer on thursday, now one of the conditions of the sale was I wanted the rear tryes changing as they where getting pritty grim. On closer inspection I noticed that the tyres they replaced the old bridgestones with are federal super steels and there absolutley awful, and if that wasn't bad enough i've now noticed that the front tyres have cracks running right round. So as it stands I've owned the car for 4 days and need 4 new tyres!!!!!
  20. Thanks for this guys feeling much better and getting very excited!! I know there are cheaper models out there privately, but I've got complete piece of mind for the next 2 years which im very pleased about, not to mention no servicing, tyres or MOT's for a while. I'm not to bothered about the differences to the body, as they are very very subtle, and the power i'm down is nothing a remap and a miltek system won't fix!
  21. thanks guys, feeling a bit better about the situation. I mean test driving that car was jaw dropping so I think i'll be very happy with her! i'll list the spec below. 2006 350z gt Black (ML06) 22500 miles 1 owner (a retired chap who traded it in for a 370Z) heated black leather Full nissan service history and all the extra's that I mentioned earlier which i'm very happy about. £15800.
  22. Good Morning everybody. I've been eyeing up a few different cars for the past couple of months but the Zed seems to tick all my box's. I've put down a deposit on a uk 2006 350z GT at my local nissan dealer, got plenty of extra's thrown in and I think that i've got a pritty good deal. Now after searching the internet for several hours I was under the impression that the facelift model was introduced in 2006, but on closer inspection it turns out the car i've just put a deposit down on is in fact the pre facelift model. Now obviously wanting the most up to date car for my money i'm really winding myself up about it. The car itself is very clean comes with all the usual toys, 2 new tyres, 2 year warranty, superguard polish, and there going to service and MOT it for me. I'm really looking for a bit of reasurance that i've not made a bit of a mistake, I mean the facelift model isnt that much better then the older models is it? (lie if you have to)
