  1. lol, feel i have started something here!! :scare:

well the info is good, i mean you guys are dedicated like, i only thought putting some direct cold air into the airbox would help heat soak and also possibly help low range driving because it is more direct?

im tempted to get one and see if it does help and then maybe get a uprev 06> airbox with a K&N panel filter, hopefully it will keep everything cool and maybe give the lower gears a smoother ride.

i meen with the nostrel inlet do you get a diffrence in the lower gears due to more direct air whilst moving at lower speeds?

thanks again for all the replys such a gud site!!

  2. hi all,

was thinking of a cheap and effective way of improving cold air to the airbox, so was considering buying a cold air feed pipe with a inlet duct coming from the grill and then feeding into the airbox, i have seen a black one which would look ok on the grill for 20 squid!

the tubing is 80mm, which will slot perfectly into the hole for the intake to the airbox and then cut a small bit out from grill, and slot the inlet through it to the tube.

will it help with cold air getting to the airbox and what you guys think of the inlet comming through the grill?

    thanks

  3. cheers all,

i had a go today, didnt turn out the greatest but covered up as much as i could, i used thenissan touch up and had to put a canny few layers on until it had filled the chips, and then put the clear coat on, i was looking at a previous post about using sand paper on the touch up and then buffing it up, but to be honest i dont think i have the balls to sand the paint and hope that it buffs out!!lol

it will have to do for now but i spoke to a bodyshop at the weekend and he offered to paint the bonnet and bumper for 300 biffs and put a clear plastic coating on it to reduce chips!!, might do it but to be honest i aint got enough stone chips to justify spending that much money!!

    thanks again

  4. hi all,

noticed today that the left speaker on the door was cutting out! :scare:

unfortunatly my warranty doesnt cover electrical issues!!(mug)

so what is the best way to rectify this problem so it stops cutting out?

    hope someone can help!

    thanks

  5. Heya all,

driving down to town today and passed a lorrie and seen some bit of crap fly over the bonnet! :scare:

the wife thought it was a bee :bang:

but after getting to town i was straight out to see a lovely couple of chips into me black bonnet! :headhurt:

right in the middle as well!, ill get a cpl of pics up so you can see the damage!,

i already have a halfords touch up paint kit with the primer and the paint, but also bought a nissan touch up paint kit, aint sure which one to use and scared to do it just in case i f***k it up!

any tips and trick you guys use would help, the car colour is Kuro black and both the kits have the colour codes on them that match the one for the car so i might give it a pop!! :blackeye:

    Thanks all

  6. Hi all,

i poped into a companie called Litchfield tuning yesterday which is just around the corner to me, he refered Abbey saying exactly what you guys have said that there s only two in the country,

i asked him about performance upgrades and he said the best thing to do is get a new exhaust and a remap and that would be the best for ur buck, he said all the small changes you do with intakes and spacers dont really change the performance that much, he said an induction would change the BHP but its an exspensive upgrade!,

on that one what is the best exhaust to get?

    hope all can help!

  7. heya guys,

searched about n cant seem to find a thread on the installation of an inlet duct for the bumper?, i mean should i take it to a bodyshop and asked them to cut a hole so it could just fit?

or is it more costly to install?,

i reckon the inlets are the key to improving the air intake!! B)

hope someone can add some info on installation!!

    thanks

  8. Hi all,

So to clarify, changing the air panel filter from the OEM filter doesnt actually improve performance?, instead maybe fitting an air intake hole i.e Nostrel, or something of that nature to improve the air intake as a hole would improve the performance?, i ask because im tempted to get a panel filter but mine is a brand new OEM and aint gonna bother if it aint gonna improve the performance!

    cheers guys

  9. thanks for the fast reply guys, Aux belt is situated wear and can i do it myself or will i have to get some one to do it?, it has been raining a bit lately so i reckon moisture could have a bit to do with it!

    thanks again chaps

  10. Hi all,

im not to sure were to post this please move if in wrong topic,

i started my motor this morning to give it a clean and i moved it about 20 meters in to a clear spot and upon moving i dipped the clutch pedal in and the engine started to squeek!! :scare: ,

i had heard it before on the wifes car on start up and i thought it could be the belts or summink, i have had the car a month now and done around 600miles, this is the first time it has happened

if it is the belt can i get it sorted?

any info on this would be appreciated

    thanks all :teeth:

  12. i went to a local auto shop, and got loads for 12p each, just asked them for bodywork clips and they pulled a tray oot and i just picked the ones i wanted, i realised my front protector and wheel trims were missing loads!! :scare:

but better trying a local small auto shop its the cheapest way!

    hope it helps :bounce:

  14. Speaking as car DIY novice, I can fully recommend on changing the oil yourself, it's really easy to do.

Also, I've just had a P3 service on mine and took it to Nissan in Slough. They did it for £220 including a courtesy car for the day but I did provide the oil. Would really recommend them if your in the area.

yes mate i went to chelts and the gave me that qoute which seems ok!

so i will change the oil as soon as i hit 3k its fully synthetic what types the best for the engine?

  15. All ur knowledge is welcome, thankyou for the advice :yahoo:

I say 8-9000 because it had a p1 about a week ago n reckon ill get the miles up before the year!!lol

but will deffs look at the oil change sooner.

is it easy enough to do urself or should i get a garage to do it?
