Hi all so I brought a import 350z the standard multidisc cd player works fine but then obviously the radio doesn't work 1. What is needed to convert to UK wave signal? The dvd unit behind seat is import and the screen in dash is pure Japanese I cannot understand any of this and if . Place a pal dvd in nothing happens it don't start playing... 2. I obvs want to watch movies so would buying a UK dvd unit amd switch with one in place would then the screen etc all be English and work? Thanks

hi all for ages now i have been hard wired into viba audio just through helping guys out as a dancer for events etc but i went into local halfords and you have different brands and the testers and i was shocked by how good the alpines were in contrast to the vibe slicks... roughly same price but i dont know just sounded clearer and louder i am looking for a nice little set up replace factory speakers tweeters and add in back some subs and amp but now dont know which brand to go with i really liked the vibe spaces but wouldnt match car so going for nice black speakers if you could imagine the "cross zed bar" in the boot i want to make an area from that back towards the seats for ice and then leaving the front part of boot for general luggage bags etc which brands are have good sound and any good deals going on at the moment ? or best places to get them in UK? thanks

right after hearing 10 hours i already started googling powder coating sutton coldfield lol i also wanted to know do you have to do the lower plenum or just the upper part? ye i might be tempted to have the same colour as car and then do the engine cover back up in black and make the writing stand out better etc lol so many choices i dont know what to do lol

woah woah i would of just said vinyl but then i know someone would of said something along the lines of " make sure you use flyeyes " or something like that so i was being specific lol and yes i defo am looking at the cf ur wheels put my chrome to shame lol i going to clean them up nice tomorrow first priority lol

lol tbh if women on here read this then they probably will think as they read my comment " oh ye i did that just yesterday" lol im not sexist but ive been in my car while 3 different women in cars have give my car a nice scratch or dent but i not the type of person to shout at a women i just moan on here about them lol that is a very sexy cf lip so thats the standard front bumper with just the lip sides and im guessing rear lip all in cf? this is what i like i have grown up with big body kits and always get the same boy racer comments but this type of modding isnt boy racer its just clean and respectable i definetly looking at a cf hood just seen the prices better start putting the pennies away i have ordered up my flyeyes and going up to hexis tomorrow hopefully to pick up some black vinyl for the roof but this is another thing, would the black vinyl roof suit when having cf parts around it and hood and possibly a BIG cf spoiler (contradicts my boy racer comment" lol

hi all i have been spending the whole day rubbing down , filling , painting my bumper and arches due to women drivers not being able to park correctly lol with this finished i now am really tempted to buy either carbon lips etc or after all that hard work buy a body kit but i cant picture it on my car with the same colour... i know some businesses use like photoshop to show how a car would look after a paint job but can i use photoshop to put a carbon lip on etc and see how it would look? i dont fancy paying loads of money and then be like "wow this isnt how i imagined it" if there is a better program please let me know as i can find it and im pretty good with computers so wouldnt take long to get hang of any new programs thanks

ahh yeye i my dad uses main drills for his engineering job so i can use his good drills that can take a good battering and if not it all goes under the business anyway and just buy new one thanks for mentioning that though looks like im going to have to pull a sicky friday then that gives me long weekend to get it sorted

right ok cus im torn between either repainting and adding body kit or keeping same colour but like black vinyl roof throw a carbon bonnet on and maybe carbon lips and spoiler but i guess either way it counts as a body kit and then it depends if they are bothered bout the colour guess i will just get the money together then make one phone call and ask it al together save keep ringing them up didnt think a vinyl would count as a modification thats well weird vinyl is basically a big sticker right so putting little stickers on would also count as a modification??

right ok so basically if i want to polish it i need to find a space of 2-3 days without using my car ... i think i will go for the polish cus it gives me something to do and then i can say its all me ill be pm'ing tarmac once i get some money in and thanks ill go check halfords first if not get ordering on paints4u thanks guys and that powder coating does look really good but i just think maybe a nice polish plenum then gun metal enginve cover will go nicely for my colour car

quick question (noob) but i am considering have a full car respray from gun metal grey to maybe white or red , would my insurance change at all or wouldnt they care about the colour? i ask on here because my car is on a business fleet insurance and the least i bother them the better as im 22 and paying only £1200 for my insurance lol i dont want to wack the price up nor buy a white or red car as mine is a import spec and pain to try to sell

hi all i read a few threads on here and im still kind of stuck.... you see i want to do more of this car myself than pay others to do it and when i look at sorting my plenum out i see maybe its cheaper to use my cordless drill and a polishing kit from halfords and then the paint for after than to pay for powder coating ? i got a gun metal grey zed and would prefer the plenum to be polished nicely and then the plastic parts around and usual bits maybe painted same as car but i have a few questions... 1. is it easy to remove the plenum and how long would it take to polish it up and paint it? 2. where is the best place in uk to buy the hose covers maybe nice silver (chrome sorry) or black havent decided yet? 3.i seen some people have the rad caps etc with the nice Z symbols on where do i find them as mine atm have the water symbol on etc? 4. also need to know where best place to get "gun metal grey" silver grey paint from? as got to remove few scratches and need paint topup in small area aswell as the engine bay areas hoping to try do all this week as i got an easy week and want to do something constructive but fairly cheap (saving for a deposit for own house is killing me with this website and all these mods lol)

hi guys really fancy doing this to my car... i thinking of going with the polished plenum chrome and then gun metal grey painted covers and sides..... jim's post shows the water caps etc with the "z" on are they just basic replacement cover caps? are they universal to cars or specific to 350z's? i am hoping this can all be done myself ? i mean rub down the plenum as much as i can then polish and chrome paint it? , the plastic caps just a matter of painting white first then the gun metal grey or do gun metal grey straight over the originals?

thanks guys i think if i try the flyeyes first seeing as they cheapest option and quickest and if i dont like them can always remove and go for the colour internal right just looked on the main flyeyes website you get choice of colours for smoked is it the black 1 option?

ahh you see i didnt ask on wether i should get them or not i meant say someone had real problems with them or if parts broke easily i wanted to know things like that from this i found that when i do get them it will be LSD and not the ones i was going to buy so technically i already saved myself from wasting so much money lol ye i used to have the lights under car on my celica ahhh good times i feel im getting older now so gotta move from that boy racer stage up to the smart and clean stage

lol i only just brought some maxxis tyres all round ye maybe i might find once the body kit is on i dont want to spend any more on the car lol although i just brought from ebay dome leds, stubby aerial and number plate leds for just over £20 and then tomorrow ill order up my flyeyes

hahaha wow talk about old threads i am still going to get these but like someone said above putting them on standard looks silly so they will be last thing i put on after the body kit and interior mods etc

right just saw that flyeyes and really going towards them so you could have the black 1 option on front and backs and the indicators on rear? and all mot legal?

ahh well my car is gun metal grey , i will upload pics of my car tomorrow yes ok i will look into them flyeyes , but i really like the smoked ones as i think against my car colour it will make them stand out more and i cant stand the red tail lights on a grey car lol

right ok plus i was thinking if i did do that then would i need to upgrade the standard light bulbs to 8000k or something as surely they wouldnt show through? and just to confirm is it legal to not have the reflectors on the tail lights i mean if i was to smoke them out? are there any good smoked lights aftermarket for sale ? im not good at finding things hence me trying to do myself lol

hi all i have seen a few tuts on web showing how to open up your lights and paint the insides smoke black but i want to know will i just get pulled over by police if i have smoked out lights also probably look at doing same with the signal lights on the back also? am i best to vinyl or use the VHT paint? thanks

hi all first of all i know i might get some stick for this question but i have saved and earnt this car for this purpose ... i basically want to start drifting on tracks with my car fairlady 350z and i know parts aint cheap but other week i had to replace a back tyre as it had shredded and it cost me 250 quid at local garage (kwikfit wanted 360 quid) and i have just passed mot and they said i gotta get the other 3 done before they go on me or next mot.... i want to know where is best place to buy the tyres from for normal road use and then is there any places i can buy cheap set pureply just for drifting in? any help with be great thanks oh they are 18's also
