  1. Piece of **** to do, only bolts and a bit of force to get the hangers on, worst i've done is a clio 182 exhaust on axle stands, stupid clamps that never seal right.

  2. You will need spacers to fill the arches, they are weak offsets. I'd go 8.5j front 9.5j rear minimum. Offsets et 20 or less otherwise it will look no different than the stock wheels.

     

    Also, a 245/40 tyre on an 8j is a bit wide IMO. If thats the best sizes and offsets they offer the wheels in i'd consider looking for a different make but up to you

  3. Yeah I have about 38 in the fronts, its just the nature of the tyre.

    Don't think there's many tyres out there that have stiffer sidewalls than the RE040's that were on before, i've got used to it now but many people rave about Falkens but forget to mention they do drive a bit differently. Grip is good though :)

    Suppose it depends how much you key into changes, some people can drive along with a puncture and not know about it etc :headhurt: everyone is different hah

  4. It depends, if you like the 'stiff' feel of the car, with weighted precise steering then yeah stick with bridgestones.

     

    If you think the tyres are too uncomfortable or too stiff and prefer to absorb bumps rather than feel them then go for the Falkens or Toyos.

     

    I have falkens at the moment and they are too soft for a heavy car like the Z if your driving near the limits of the car, the sidewalls are really soft and give you an almost double entry feel when turning. If you only use the Z for pottering about in then this won't cause you a problem however.

     

    Other tyres to look at are the vredestein ultrac sessanta, they have a fairly stiff sidewall and offer better performance and feel over falkens and toyos so middle of the road between cost (falkens) vs performance (bridgestones/michelin etc)

  5. Since fitting Falken 452's all round i've never been happy with the steering feel, it immediately felt lighter than the stones that were on before.. However i've lived with it till now and was going to not do anything till the Falkens needed replacing..

     

    However these past 2 days my steering seems to of gone even lighter, which suggests something else suspension related is on its way out.

     

    As far as i'm aware the alignment should still be fine, I had it aligned shortly after I had the Falkens fitted, i've not hit any pot holes to cause it to move away from spec. I believe that not enough toe in will cause light steering at speed.. is this correct?

     

    What bushes would typically cause a very light steering feel? Its almost like my PAS is on 100% at 60 mph. The turn in actually seems a tiny bit better, but with more turn of the wheel if that makes sense..

     

    Any advice appreciated, I'm going to be jacking the car up and having an inspection of the bushes but it would be easier if I knew which ones are typical culprits.
