  1. Im exactly the same in the past 2 months alone i have had someone who decided to go the entire way round a roundabout whilst he should of gone left or straight on and i had the option to go straight on (dual carriage way) and right i wanted to go straight on.... how i missed him i have no idea

another one coming to a roundabout me in my lane well before the roundabout... no traffic on roundabout so i slow down and just about to get to the round about some numpty in the lane next to me decide they wanted to be in my lane so just pull straight over withouth a signal or even a look thankfully i was going slow enough to stop without hitting them.

todays been interesting too... old woman again on a dual carriage way just decided to change lanes without looking whilst i was at the side of her... thankfully a bit of a run off so i could dive over and anchor up.

and then there are the usual culprits (sp) who sit in the middle lane when there is absolutely nothing in the inside lane for another 5 years - that really really really really winds me up (only thing i generally get road rage with)

and same goes for people on dual carriage ways in the outside lane when not over taking anyone and arent doing the speed limit.

(as bad as it sounds and i know i shouldnt do it but in both cases i will go behind, flash repeatedly and if still no movement undertake or on the odd occasion where people pull over i go past and look in the mirror to see they have pulled back out  )

and then later on in the day same thing happened again, i really am beginning to question peoples standards/abilitys of driving. [/rant]

  2. this is exactly what i was worried about rwd in snow and ice considering i have never driven a rwd car before and my derv ibiza was bad enough last year on 18's, thankfully reading about this snow sock things has made me feel a bit more confident about when i get my zed in a month or so :).

I am based in Stoke on Trent and willing to travel/meet (although problem with meeting is neither of the parties know the location).

Shoots based in stoke i will source locations, shoots based at other parties location mean they are responsible for sourcing the location.

To book a shoot feel free to contact me on any of the methods below, shoots can only be held week day evenings (after 7pm) and at weekends.

I look forward to hearing off you shortly

  4. MattMe - only real photoshop is as per near enough all my car shoots i run them through tone mapping and sharpen them and occasionally tweak the contrast.

unbashed - thanks :) im based in stoke on trent but do travel but obviously travel will be added to the price :).

I thought I could see some sharpening and colour alteration going off. I know nothing about this kind of stuff though.

Did you take some kind of light on the shoot? What kind of settings do you use on your camera? I'm looking at getting a decent one but really am only just starting to be interested...

    (sorry for thread hijacking)

yeah i have 3 flashguns that i use off camera although for this it was mainly just 2, settings wise i think i was between f8 and f10 and shutter speed around 1/80 - 1/125.

If you want i can recommend you some books if you get into it :), its what i used to teach myself the basics then just got out and started playing.

    Yes please!

Michael Langfords - Basic photography (there are a few versions of this now and i cant remember off the top of my head which version i got lol, will check when im at home)

I do have a few other books that are more for posing models and weddings but i dont think you'd really want to know those (ask if you do though).

  7. thoughts are with all their familes and friends.

seen loads of people posting about this on facebook as i have quite a few people that new him on there :(, certainly puts things into perspective as someone has already said, even more so as i drive down that road nearly every night :(.

    RIP fella.

and to everyone else take care on the roads out there

  8. Good to hear you got another job Matt. :yahoo:

I've not forgot about photoshoot, still waiting for centre cap to come.

thanks and neither have i :p just let me know when your ready :) who knows i may have one by the time haha.

Mod cost = well id just have to save for it.

To who ever mentioned ins cost why the increase?

  9. I currently do about 350-500 miles per week, and as said it's about £80 per tank on the good stuff.

The only downside is that you'll put your foot down a lot and you'll probably see 22mpg for a while. quite easily hit 28, but you have to drive it like sensibly.

As mentioned, the other consideration is servicing.

It's not entirely cost prohibitive but all in all including servicing /tax insurance probably close to £500 per month, just depends if you're happy with that cost.

yeah i know for a fact the first few months ill be at the petrol station ALOT  the noise will be addictive, insurance would be between 50-70 a month depending on who i go with, petrol i imagine would roughly cost £320 :| wow only just worked that out a month  hmmm...
