Sorry to rub lemon juice into your paper cut, but didn't you check the insurance before you bought it?? It is a powerful sports GT afterall.
It is a shame, but insurance is high for a reason sometimes. You sound like a young guy, your time will come. Build that no claims and driving skills first, then you'll enjoy these cars all the more. There are alot of cars out there with low insurance that are alot of fun too.

Update -Popped a set of 452s on all-round. Very pleased with price. They were a bit slipping to start with. Release stuff I assume. Think they are going to be great. Much less jarring than Bridgestones over bumps and more feel back through wheel.
Going back next week for a full laser alignment. Missus would't let me do doughnuts to finish off the Bridgestones

Give me a call after 7pm Mark when I finish work P.S I'm back
Welcome back Lee!

PM R35LEE he may able to advise. He's a busy chap though so may take a while to get back to you.
He did a very good install for me into my tape circuit, and have never had any probs.

Great day guys. Great weather (thanks Lexxy )
Even the bacon butties were awesome.
I'll remember the Challenge Stadale 360 angrily reving as he couldn't find a space for a long time What a noise. It was like Goodwood in Yorkshire.

A 313?? Since when did the Rev Up have no bonnet bulge?
The engines were 276 on an 52 no? Surely a Nismo has a bodykit??
This is a clearly is Nismo Special Edition. If Nismo Special Edition means ripping the Fairlady badge off a JDM and slapping a Nismo badge on.
I have a collander in the kitchen with less holes

Thanks guys for responding so quickly, much appreciated. What a forum!!
I've told my tyre guy to get me a price for the 452 instead now. If he can't do 'em I'll get Camskill to deliver 'em. Wanted him to do them as he was gonna do me a good price on a laser alignment.
Anyway just got the missus a new Blackberry, so maybe I'll have accrued enough brownie points to get some Vreds Sessantas
Cheers,

Cool
Looking forward to seeing these Monaros. They were high on my wish list with the Z.
Get to see Woody's motor too; at least I don't think I have seen it...

Very quick answer needed guys as i have to order today for the weekend.
My tyre guy can only get me Falken ZE 912 and not Falken FK 452s.
Are these going to be ok for the Z?
Thanks

Try Camskill. Vreds might be outside your budget, but you might scrape £400 for Falken or Toyos.

I'm getting a new set of Falken 452 on Saturday, so I won't be hooning around on Sunday as they won't be scrubbed and will be still covered in release stuff.
Never mind. I'll have my Sat Nag with me, so Lexx just make sure you save me a space, for when I catch up.

I'm coming away from Chris Knott now I'm afraid. They had to give me a hefty jump, even though I have had no change to circumstance ie no shunts, no tickets etc.
I've went through confused.com and got a quote with Admiral for less tham I'm paying currently. Would recommend the multi-car as that has dropped both mine and the missus Suzuki Sport considerably.
Confused.com is always good for a laugh too.
Guess what my highest quote was??

I use:-
Mequires Clay bar.
Meguires 3 step cleaning system.
Dojo Juice car shampoo.
Noodle mitt from halfords.
Mequires alloy wheel cleaner.
Hotshots tyre shine.
Windowlean wipes for windows
Armour all for internal plastics.
Micro-fiber cloths for drying.
Cotton cloths for end polishing.
Buff daddy mechanical polisher.
Meguires swirl X to get rid of swirl marks.
I dont use the "2 bucket method".
I dont use jet wash's, think they are sh1t.
I dont use or like snow foam, again lots of cash for little result. Tried it once thought it was sh1t, although some swear by it.
Black liquid boot polish on the leather seats.
Never use a sponge!
I have detailing brush's for the alloys.
Think thats about my shopping list of goodies...
Hope this helps...
First time I've heard a negative on a snow foam. What was the matter with it?? If it really is that poor I won't bother. Sorry for highjack.

Let me think..
2 bucket with grit guard
Meg Synthetic shammy
Meg Lamb's wool mitt
Zymol shampoo
Meg Clay bars
Dodo Juice Prime Lime
Dodo Supernatural
Dodo Tropical Mist
Envy brushes
Meg Hot wheels
Autoglym Interior cleaner stuff(quite good on engine bay too)
Autosol for exhaust.
Be getting a Snow foam lance, once I do some work on the kitchen I promised the missus
Think that's it.

new tyres and wheels went on last weekend,
this weekend i'm off to DMS racing to have a full laser alignment check and a fast road setup done to the car. not cheap at about 75.00 but it will address toe, camber and castor settings. this should make the car handle at its most optimum and also improve tyre wear and maximise grip available form the car/tyres.
Rich
Where are the pics mate??
Being a techie chap, you must have the alignment specs for the Z?? Searched all night on forum , no luck
Ace sig btw!

Everyone has the blue Seamaster Well everyone who has an Omega it seems. I'd go with the Ocean if you want to be a little different. The Speedmaster is nice too, but the glass is very soft and can't take knocks too well.
Get the black and don't go for the quartz. The Automatics aren't much more and you don't have to crack them open, only when they are serviced.
Omegas much nicer than a Breitling too; they are a bit showy IMHO.

Think that has made my mind up then
I've been quoted mate's rates for £60 for a laser one, which seems good.
Thanks guys

Gonna get a new set of Falken 452 fitted in a week or so.
Worth getting an alignment done at the same time? I'm a bit of a newb to this sort of thing as you know, so just want a gentle, Husky, opinion
I'm assuming there is a recommended setup here. Saw one recently so I'll have a search, if you guys reckon its worth it.

being a non GT, will it be cheaper to insure?
and also what's the extras if it's a GT.
GT comes with cruise control, leather seat, brembos and uprated BOSE.
All UK cars have brembo's, its not part of the GT pack.
I would get a P3 done even if they dont do it. All they'll do is change the oil.
pfft Beat me too it on the Brembos. Non-GT is not to be underrated. Cloth don't throw you about in the corners like skidding leather
And Cruise Control. Please! Don't get me started. If you want a motorway car, buy a Merc
