  1. Hi there all,

Had to get an emissions test done as part of the MOT style test out here, the car failed. The CO2 reading was fine but the Lambda reading was to high at 1.042.

Went to the local main dealer here and run it on their machine and it failed again with similar readings. The Nissan machine didnt pick up any reading from the 2 sensors forward of the cats, the mechanic reckons these are broke and that is the cause.

So my questions to you all is this, is this a common fault or bad luck that both have gone and is approx 500 euro (450 quid) about right to supply and fit?

Car is a 2004 UK GT with 27000 miles.

    Many thanks, Rob

  2. Haha good work there Danny.

Wookie as you have prob guessed I need a quick fix on this, would be very interested in having them off you. If you can let me know details soonest that would be great. If a light borrow is ok with you and there is no other feasible solution I would be very gratefull.

PM me with your thoughts and we can sort something out.

    Cheers fellas once again :thumbs::thumbs:

  3. Hi there all, hopefully somebody can help me out.

Firstly the car, I have a 2004 (04) UK spec GT. I bought the car slightly modified and am finding more mods all the time. Can somebody tell me what headlights I should have, i.e halogen, HID or xenon? They have a blue tint to the edge of the beam and a 4 pin connector if that helps?

I need to have LHD lights fitted to conform to the British Army Germany rules. I got a set of LHD lights from Holland, these have conventional halogen bulbs and a 3 pin connector. Can I remove the wiring anf associated bits from my UK lights and fit them to the replacements?

I am totally threaders with it at the mo, if I dont get this sorted the car will sit on the drive and not move, because it wont be allowed on camp. I am considering selling it as I wont let it rot outside the house, I dont really want to sell by the way.

Any help would be appreiciated guys.

    Many thanks, Rob

  4. Aim to please people lol...

I'm half way through making a full image detailed information sheet on how to install folding door mirrors when you press the remote lock and unlock on your key. If your intrested pm me dude. :teeth:

Again there is some info on my thread

I'd be interested in that mate, the wifes XC60 does it and it annoys me that the Z dont

  5. Problem is mate I live out and need a daily driver, it aint BFG'd coz of the lights and Gutersloh are a pain in the ass. Wont be able to get it on camp basically.

As its a 04 car, I thought it should have halogen lights, are mine aftermarket? If yes then a re-wire may be an option

  6. Dunno if they can be re-wired to be honest, would have to remove all the xenon kit from the UK lights, the connector on the new ones have a 3-pin socket where the original ones have 4-pin. Do you reckon it would be a big job?

When do you think you will be removing your LHD ones, I am thinking of selling the car if I cant get something sorted. Not something I want to do by the way

  7. Hi everyone, thanks for all your help i managed to get a set from a company in Thaiwan called crazy god they cost me about £360 and got here in about two weeks.

Have you a link or something for them? I got a set from holland but have found out they are for halogen cars not xenon.

    Cheers

  8. Hi there,

Can you go into a bit more detail how you did this? I have looked at the original thread and that makes sense, where did you get the power from?

Sorry to sound like a mong but I want to do this but want to be totally sure I understand before ripping the car apart.

    Cheers

  9. Yep totally simple once its in front of me. Is it me or is it a right pain in the ass to take of the bumper?

The bolts that hold the bumper to a bracket were the most difficult. As it turns out was a complete waste of time as my replacement lights are the wrong ones ! :bang::bang:

  10. Hi guys,

My headlights have a 4-pin electrical connector, am I right in saying I have Xenons fitted?

I have a set of LHD lights that have a 3-pin connector, I'm assuming this is standard halogen?

What cars were fitted with each type of light?

    Cheers guys, Rob
