Took the car back to the garage who fitted everything, as the engine management light and TC light all came on. They ran a quick test and it came up as Camshaft sensor (or something) but reset it as they said there wasnt a problem or fault.

Problem is the car still doesnt redline and just feels a little slugish... im out of ideas guys, any sugestions?

Yeah thats what i was thinking, maybe i am hitting the limiter and not knowing it......

Alex, ill take it back to that garage and get them to have a look, hopefully they will know what to do ha.

Car does rev nice and quickly now though and hardly any chatter, so thanks again Alex.

Yeah even the rev light is set to 7500rpm, so i dont even see that flash as its hitting a brick wall at 7000.

Hi everyone,

Ive just got back from a 6 month tour of Afghanistan, during my RnR my slave cylinder went so i ordered a new clutch kit and Fidanza flywheel (thanks ZMANALEX) while everything was out. It was then fitted while i went back off to Afghan, now ive came back i checked the car for oil and fluids etc and everything seemed fine.

The main problem i seem to be having is when accelerating upto the 7500 rev limit (313hp car) and it gets to around 7000rpm it has a little fit (like bouncing around) and doesnt go past and onwards to 7500rpm it just feels like its hit the limiter at 7000rpm. Now i dont hit the limit very often but it just seems a little weird, it also does this when in neutral.

Also i would have though 6 months of not driving it and getting a lightened fly it would blow me away like it did when i first bought it, but to be honest it doesnt feel as quick or lively as i was expecting it to be.

Been a very expensive week, Invidia exhaust, tax, insurance, service, MOT, Ipod Hack, Auto wing mirror mod, and now new clutch and flywheel and slave cyclinder....... beans on toast for a few weeks i think.

And also a new flywheel, as he is not sure if his comes with a flywheel. OEM or after market obviously for MY07 with twin intakes.

Had a bad day yesterday, my clutch went all funny and dropped to the floor and wouldnt come back up. Fluid lost under the car too, AA man turned up and said he couldnt do much, so got it towed to the garage.

Basicaly on speaking to the garage the guy said its needs a new clutch kit and (i think clutch slave cylinder) basically the lot. Hes quoted me £1100 fitted, but its not going to be ready till at least wednesday as the clutch needs to be ordered from nissan and they dont stock it or something. I had a whole weekend planned down cornwall and thats all canceled now due to this, and i fly back to Afghanistan on Wednesday, not the best RnR.

Is there anybody with clutch kits in stock, OEM or aftermarket to fit a 350z 313 07 model, along with all the other parts ready for delivery?

I see the point with the nismo, but I'm on a tight time scale (1week) so it's a no go for the exhaust from japan/states.

The nismo looks nice, but it's £600+ for a 5 and a half year old exhaust..... Sounds crazy to me. Although I wouldn't say no for £400 lol.

Hi guys, I'm replacing my k1 for something more mature, looks like it's going to be the scorpion in that price range, but was wondering if anyone was looking at getting rid of their exhaust in the next week or so, just want to keep my options open till the very last minute. Someone must have a nismo lying around ;-)

I'm due back from Afghanistan in a few days and my car is due an MOT, last time I had it serviced they said that the bush was starting to fail, now rather than get a new arm I've been told I can get a new bush and get it fitted into my banana arm saving money. Now I don't know if it's failed but I'm not taking any chances as I've only got 14days R&R before returning to afghan so I'll try and get one now. Any takers? Cheaper the better.

I'm useless with electronics, but was wondering if anyone in the Chesterfield area would want to supply and fit the iPod hack so I can play music through my iPhone through my Bose. I have satnav fitted if that makes any difference? Money waiting. Cheers

Thanks for the k2 offer but I'm currently in Afghanistan on ops so a swap wouldn't be possible at the minute. I'm back on RnR in august so looking to get the scorpion fitted then. Jez how much is the scorpion delivered to my home in Chesterfield? I would get yourself to fit it but it's a fair old trek and I only get 10days off :-(

Once the k1 is off it will be up for sale for pick up only. Probably about £120

I used to have the OEM but it's just too quiet, looking for something a little bit more fruity but my budget is tight :-(

Or maybe a quieter exhaust for a good price?
