Dane....yea I'm colour blind......I can see the difference in colour, it's been mentioned before. It's not so noticible in the flesh for some reason, I have no history of it being resprayed, but I know the front ends being quite perpendicular to the road are prone to stone chiping, I can only assume it was resprayed with a not so good colour match, maybe for this reason. 7. Hi all, Time has come to part with my Zed, it's been great but I promised myself I'd have 6 months in a Zed, and 6 months in an Evo, so here she is. heres a quick pic, but see my piston heads listing for a full write up. £10500 http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1515120.htm ATB Col.
  8. Just to bring this to a close, it was the oil pressure sender, fitted a new one from Nissan, cost me £100 tho!! hope this helps others.
  9. Hi all, Just to bring this to a close to hopefully help other forum members, I fixed the clunk by packing the bushings, worked a treat!!! Col.
  10. I ended up using dent wizzard from barnsley, absolutley awesome, the guy really knows what he's doing, wouldn't even know there were and dents! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FU64cDx69f8 Col.
  11. Hi all, I have a clunk coming from my front suspension, checked all the ball joints down there, and also the upper link on the strut, nice and solid, checked the suspension mounts, fine. I found some axial play on the antiroll bar though, so suspect worn bushing. Can you buy packing kits like on some vehicles, or is it a new bush job? any snags on what appears to be a simple job? also any other views on the clunk. Cheers, Col.
  12. Hi all, Ok, seen as it's xmas, and times are harsh...£475 but that is my bare minimum so please no offers. Cheers!! Col.

  14. Bump...not many push bike fans on here eh!!
  15. I was torn between the Zed and RX8, RX8 is cheaper (for the same year car) and you can drop on the PZ model with the uprated sus and its still cheaper than a Zed of the same year. RX8 interior looks slightly better in my opinion, however I think the curves of the Zed suit a bloke whereas its debatable with the RX8. A collegue of mine has the RX8, he said its great, but as most have said you really do need to drive it to get the reward, he's selling up for a Zed. I went with the Zed in the end after seeing a torque curve....torque is everything it provides acceleration..you can pretty much get full engine torque in any gear between 2nd and 4th at 40mph...that means you don't have to shuffle around the box shearching for the power..or damage your gearbox forcing into unescasary gears. The Zed was my first rear end drive car, I was a little cautious when I first bought it, scared of loosing it, but the traction stability system is trully stagering.....you really have to be doing something rediculous to hurt yourself in the dry...it's quite good in the wet too, turn the traction of in a big empty car park, and you soon realise that the Zed is a really balanced car, you can step the back end out with ease.....but you can correct it/keep the slide in control no problem, then theres the noise from the engine I love mine, and I'm pretty sure I made the right descision.
  16. Hi all, Selling mu Kona Stinky, I don't use it enough and I would rather have the money to spend on something I will use!! It's in good nik, everything works as it should, could do with a replacment nut for the quick release, one that has flats on for hand tightening as I dropped it in the don!! I have a temporary fix on at the moment which was suppose to put me on until the bike shop ordered me one in....they never did! there about a fiver. I'm after £550 In Rotherham, but may travel within reason. 07885888668 Col.
  17. Thanks all!! I was thinking about it, mybe I will try and make the next 1 I've arranged to do some work on my much neglected Mk2 Scirocco turbo project today Col.
  18. Hi all, Spotted an azure blue coupe passing through Ravenfield heading towards Kilnhurst this morning around 07:45, looked sparkling. I was going the other way in my gunmetal gray. Anyone from here? Col.
  19. Reset ECU...went out to the 'track' managed 140 a few times...looks like problem sorted. Thanks for everyones input, much appriciated. Col.
  20. I will check, but it i don't think it stops accelerating..it creeps. I will go on a longer run with it tomorrow and record some times on the 'test track' near me and you guys can maybe tell me if the figures are inline with your own car's performance? I did a proper HPI Check...came back with nothing regarding the vehicle being imported, and it is an identifiable in the check. I think I can be sure it was born in the UK, haven't found anything other than the speed issue to suggest otherwise. I will try the ECU reset...thinkers crossed. Greekman, your infor re your masserati is really interesting, I will look into it, and see if I can see any similarities and report back, thank you. If it was a JDM ECU, what things would show up different on a computer if I was to get it hooked up? Thanks again!!
  21. 'I wonder for some reason its had a JDM ECU fitted at the factory by mistake' Anyway of checking? What really makes me think is that the car pulls great throgh the first 3 gears, only starting to struggle at the end of 4th, Now the engine has performed throughout the range in these first 3 gears, therfore providing the gearbox has not been tampered with....and why would you tamper with 5th and 6th??? the only other thing that can be effecting it (other than abnormal drag...and my Zed looks like every other Zed) is ECU intervention...the engine goes through the same motions and processes in every gear, and is oblivious to road speed??? BAFFLED!!!
  22. Hi all, Thanks for peoples input. A few answers to points raised: Is the airfilter clogged? - Nice clean new one only 1k miles ago, took a look, looks fine. Pressure leak around engine? - What could be leaking (induction, exhaust) Where would the pressure leak be? Is the car strong off the mark? - I had a tussle against my old VR6 Corrado last night (sold it a friend), the Corrado ran 15 second quater miles..the Zed was a little faster, So I'd guess the Zed's bottom end performance is as it should be, book time for quater mile in the Zed is 14.7?? Is the fuse box in Japanese? - No all text is English. What side are the lights/wipers? - Lights/wipers go against the JDM configuration as stated above, so UK configuration. Any more ideas?? can you de-restrict UK models for over 155mph? Col.
