OK. Thanks all - So im thinking, change the grille, Stubby aerial and Spoiler.... So now next questions. How much, which ones, where from and who to do it?

Firstly, be assured i am a novice to the extreme! I have owned a Silver Z for just over 6 months and love it, of course! I am just wondering what people feel the best exterior mod is to make, which gives the biggest impact improvement to cost ratio...? Spoiler? Which leads me to my more specific question - How much would it cost to buy and get fitted a Spoiler (i understand thats a very open question - but i have no idea where to start!) Any info appreciated! (dont you just love people who have got a clue!!)

Ive got one sorted from local dealer now, looks much better. "Have you checked in your rear glovebox, under the smugglers tray? I found mine in there for some odd reason." But thats interesting! might have a look... :-)

I'm sure this is a stupid question. but its 'easy if you know it' When you leave the car and the ignition is off, is there any problem with leaving switches flicked? i.e. leaving the the wing mirrors switch to close or open (so they open when you get in) or should you return it to the neutral spot? Same question with the heated seats, if you leave these in the on position by mistake - no problem? I cant see there being as all power will be off, but you never know. Also, just put the bluetooth adapter in, i assume this is OK just left in all the time. Ok, enough of the stupid questions, just thought id check! Cheers

Yeah, we bought my G/F's Fiesta without driving it too. But i guess the difference isa, the lengths these guys seem to be going to, to stop you driving it....

Looking for some wisdom here, Im still pretty new to this 350Z arena and im still researching. But you guys might be able to save me some time. I think im looking to buy an '06 plate Silver 350Z. - What should i be expecting to pay? Standard spec i would think, as i dont know enough to buy anything else with confidence. Then i guess i will look to adding (probably only slightly) as my knowledge grows! Comfortable haggling with salesmen, but need to know where i should want to be!

Well, it takes the edge off, knowing that its not just me its happening to! I think this is what frustrates me most, i am a sales manager for a brewery at the moment and was a Customer service manager for them before that. I know what i epect when it comes to sales and service and i am so frustrated right now!! I have spotted a care in a dealership about 20 miles from me, i went in the weekend before last and the guys totally ignored me, no matter how much attention i was giving the cars! Eventuyallyi approached them!! for one of them to say "oooh, its an expensive way to get from A to B, that" - i thought, what the ?!?%&... Anyway i rang them on Thursday to ask if a test drive would be possible - i was told to come in at the weekend to speak to the sale manager. I didnt, i rang, because i didnt want to waste a journey - and im gald i did - i was told, we dont do test drives on a weekend we are too busy. Right!! i said, ill ring in the week. I ring today - - - to be told, we can do a test drive as soon as you put a deposit down! WHAT? I asked what would happen if i didnt like the drive after putting a deposit down all he said was someone came in just this weekend and bought a £10,000 without driving it, we just dont do it. This is an A1 car, you will just have to trust us. I was lost for words and just said i had two others to see and goodbye. furious.

It did cross my mind that 'good' sales people might have felt the credit crunch pinch (down turn in commission) and moved on to other jobs... A friend of mine just bought an '08 TT and said exactly the same, having been round several different manufacturers offering spend up to 26k and got no interest either! Happy to let him go to other dealers... On two occasions was told someone would call him back. No one did.

I'm looking at buying an '06 plate 350Z (due to budget) I understand that the Tax implications changed in Feb '06 (?) and that the '06 plate will cost £200 more to tax than the '55 plate. But i also understand that the '06 had some small ammendments, am i right? (e.g. Bluetooth is on the '06 but not the '55??) I am wondering if its worth knocking back to a '55 plate or if the ammendments would be enough to sway it for me? I would also be interested to know what the '06 is lacking that current models have? I am mainly interested in the Interior and Exterior changes than performance differences. If any of this info is in other threads, apologies, just show me the way!

Ok! Thats a broad question, but specifically.... My pet hate is being harrassed when 'browsing', investigative shopping i call it. Whether it be a car or anything else. But what is wrong with Car salespeople at the moment!??! Are they not on commission anymore? I have spent the last 2 weeks wondering round a few Nissan dealers, mixed dealers and even a couple of car supermarkets (just to remind me what was out there) as my first steps towards buying a car. (Having heard i am going to lose my company car in 10 weeks (Its been on the cards, it was no shock)) and i havent been approached by a single person! Worse, i have even tried to question a couple and have been given the impression they are completely uninterested! It amazes me, when so much money is up for grabs that they are not falling over themselves to help! It certainly seems different from when i bought my first car 10 years ago (and my second, and my third!) think i just wanted to get that off my chest really...

Hi all, I was hoping there would be a decent looking forum out there... and seems i have found it! I'm 28 and living in Leeds, and losing my Company Car in 10 weeks. Thought i'd replace it with something a bit more fun! Pretty much set on it being a 350Z! Had a little look round already and really want to find out the easiest / best / cheapest ways to make the interior a little less plasticy looking (ill be heading over to read the posts that way in a minute), plus see if i can find out some more useful info on what loos set to be my next car! :-) Thanks for having me...
