  1. Hi guys,

The handling of my 350z has been off recently and checking the front tyres they are unevenly worn, both of them have more wear on the left hand side.

A few questions if I may:

    - I assume this is due to alignment? Is it likely to be anything else?

    - I have the standard Bridgestones on, and the rears have plenty of tread left. I was planning on buying the same again for the fronts, and maybe getting falkens once the rears have worn down more?

    - Does anyone have any recommendations as to who to take it to? We live near Woking/Guildford.

    - Do I just need to take the alignment settings posted here to the alignment centre?

    Thanks!

  2. We went to the Ritz-Carlton in Sharm this time last year (I did a review on TripAdvisor with a couple of photos) - we booked B&B but upgraded to half-board when we got there, awesome with 4 restaurants, great spa and pool, fairly quiet resort and the beach is coral sand but is known for the best reef in Sharm, it was amazingly good.

My workmate went to the Savoy and said it was fantastic, had a proper beach down into the sea rather than the edge of the Ritz-Carlton's beach if any of those details up.

If you want specifics on RC, just ask.

We started off with 2 nights in Cairo to see the pyramids, museum and do a dinner cruise before transferring to Sharm, worked out nicely (tip if you stay in Cairo and book a pyramid visit, get them to start an hour earlier in the morning, you miss all the tour buses flooding the pyramid area later on).

  3. I was cleaning the exhaust tips earlier and saw a rubber tube hanging down slightly behind the bumper on the left hand side, and resting on top of the left exhaust tip? I *think* it's related to the rear parking sensors as it seems to go back up to a hole along with one of the narrow wires from a sensor.

Has anyone else seen this? Would I be ok going in via the boot to try and pull it up? I'm assuming that having a rubber tube on a hot exhaust isn't the best idea!!

    Thanks,

  4. Hello again! Spotted on the A29 I think it was, got a wave and a smile, then ended up following each other for a couple of miles into Nyman Gardens so parked next to him and said hi :) Nice to find out you were on the forum lol

  5. I'm pretty sure minor items like that won't be covered, that's just normal wear-and-tear. Check the alloys for any bubbling (see my thread) and listen for any clicking from the back - other threads on here list the likely warranty issues.

  6. Hi Jammy,

Wife's car is a Clio X-reg 1.4, we had a similar issue recently.

Driving home from work she lost almost all power, managed to limp home though. I drove it to the garage and it was really labouring, like the power wasn't getting to the wheels. Turned out the clutch had gone! The car's over 100k miles...and the coil pack etc needs to be replaced soon too (not running too smoothly).

Anyway, the week or so after the clutch replacement, I'm driving the car and can feel the problem has gone away completely, so I took it back to the garage and asked them to look again - turned out the clutch cable had worn out inside the outer sleeve and meant the clutch wasn't engaging properly. Don't know if it's of any help to you but it wasn't picked up first time by the garage and I assume it's the same clutch cable in all Clios?

Hope you can sort it soon,

  7. flying is dead safe ;) your more likely do die in a car crash than on a plane. if your going by cheesy jet, then the most danger your in would be from catching a cold. there planes aren't big enough to be used as an effective strategic weapon by terrorists. if they were going to do something stupid it would be with something bigger, and it would be on a flight heading for the UK not out of it. especially as security isn't as good outside the UK.

What he said - the numbers might be significant but it's still far more dangerous just hitting the motorways of an evening (sad after reading of a major crash on a road not far from me). Don't know the bit about it being your ex but as someone who knows a stupid amount about 9/11 and 7/7 I'm reckoning they'll do something again eventually but nearer the deadline for Iran invasion time.

    Enjoy the holiday!
