I wasn't stroppy with the service bloke on the phone and he seemed very willing to help me so will have to see how this one pans out.

That is absolutely appalling! If they don't know they're doing that they must have some serious issues! Hope you get it sorted at no expense to yourself.

You can just about see the sticker at the top of this pic. I've not tried it though.

If they do accept it was their fault would the repair go through them or could i get a quote and go elsewhere and they will pay?

Thanks for that Chris, There was a job sheet, but I wasn't aware they put any thing like that on it, nor do I have a copy Will definately ask for that when I go back. Definately happened while they had it but I guess its proving it If they deny it, in which case that sheet would be vital

Car was at the dealers last week getting some things done under warranty (CV's replaced, new body control module as it was fried and radio looked at and new one ordered) Cannot fault them with any of those issues as they have agreed all will be covered.

My only Gripe is, I picked the car back up on saturday and in my hurry to get home I didnt have a look round it, plus it was dirty so nothing stood out When i got home i started washing it and noticed some scratches on the drivers door. You can see two at the top, another in the middle and another going verticle near the bottom left.

Not sure if it was caused by the dealers or by customers to the dealership having a look. Either way it was in their care so they're accountable i would have thought?

I phoned them up and the guy at the service desk has been very helpful so far, he gave me his mobile number and I sent him a few pics. Car is going back to get the radio changed once it comes In so they said they will have a look then.

Just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and what the outcome was? Will they want to repair it or will they let me have it done where I want?

Pretty sure its 1 year or every 9k miles.

First thing I would do is check the battery terminals/connections and ensure everything is as it should be. If no joy then it sounds like the battery is past it.

Does anyone have one of these in their Zed? If so what are they like and are they worth purchasing?

Had them both sides on my Corsa (1998) and golf (2002). Was a little dissapointed the zed didnt but its far superior in many ways so i can forgive it!

The 09 plate Quashqai I have as a courtesy car at the moment is drivers side only aswell.

sounds like you got a very good deal! Nationwide/Nissan tried to have your pants down!

How much did the brakes set you back?

Regarding the worries about Hydrolocking, My golf had a CAI which relocated the filter behind the lower bumper grill.

Never had a problem regarding water and it was driven in all weathers. went through some deep puddles too (not at full throttle of course ) was quite low on coilovers aswell.

I've read in a few threads that the standard airbox provides the best performance though.

They were harlequin editions, very odd indeed

Got a years warranty from a Nissan dealer on my 54 plate, so I would imagine if you bought one from a dealer you would get one too.

Replaced them with some compomotive's after a while though.

Guy I know did this with his Fiesta, had luminous yellow one side and luminous orange/pink on the other, will try and find pics.

Spoke to Nissan a little while ago, they confirmed the radio needed replacing and they said they would do this under the warranty. they're also going to replace my CV's and the alarm control unit under the warranty too

Stretch, if you got yours from a dealer i would imagine they would replace it for you too

Mine started doing it aswell and read it was a common problem.

Dropped car of at Nissan on Saturday for them to look at a couple of things, I added this to the jobcard to see what they would say and if they would replace it under the warranty. Not heard from them yet but will post up what they say incase it is of help to anyone.

Any Z's which are 06 and abover have near enough double the tax I believe.

Mine came with the car, even the dealer I got it from was surprised it was there

Car needs MOT to get the plate of and if the car is scrapped with it on I think it's gone for good, so I wouldnt write it off if I were you

Steal all of his docs and apply for the transfer
