  1. Tell you what though. After marzmans thread I was looking at 996 turbos. Now I canT afford one but some people where running silly silly power. I'm sure I saw a few at 600 or 650bhp and 1 or 2 at 700 or 750bhp.

That's utter silliness for the price.

  2. As in the ST205s?

I think so yes. The old rally 4 headlight ones. People mod them and they are very fast considering the price and age.

It's like that much performance back then is crazy

  3. Its ok, I am through that horrible stage now and back on the road to wanting something japanese, old, daft but different!

I was looking at old celicas. They are bloody quick!

  4. i have no experience with a 350 but with my old BMW Z3 the brace mad a massive difference. I didnt notice when i fitted it (came without one OEM) but when i took it off it was very noticable.

Z3s where bad for that. Common kids are front strut and "butt" strut.

  5. Keyser and buster you guys have got it all wrong. Donuts are cheap anyone can get them.

If your not charging money then you should ask for a poem to be written about you or a dance from a theatre production to be performed. Want your brakes changed sing food glorious food and it's done.

  6. Boo on a Saturday.

£10 says chavs will ruin it like the last massive one at tesco kingsway.

Vauxhall crew,,,,,, would be good to see you there in all your glory

TBH the ford and vauxhall crew are usually pretty sound. It's the "cruise" guys who blast their crappy music and start doing wheel spins that gets the whole thing shut down and everyone kicked out. It's funny because might be speaking to a guy with a 600hp supra sound, doing nothing wrong and some idiot in whatever is banging off the limiter trying to wheelspin.

  7. No I haven't, for the reasons I stated. I had all the mods I mentioned tho! And never needed a CAI to produce 300bhp. The gruppe M is a nice piece of kit, but isn't required and is expensive for what it actually does.

Agreed its not cheap to add all the mods I've mentioned, although most can be picked up 2nd hand nowadays, and all can be resold later (as I did). But all that power in a relatively light (by today's standards) gives a very quick car

Never needed a CAI kit to produce 300bhp but you did need a supercharger ~ what's that cost £2-2500K?

Not trying to argue with you and that's a great mod's list for an EP3 for sure but not everybody wants to splurge that much cash and it's not always about how much bhp you can get.

My CTR was standard apart from a full stainless steel custom made exhaust system and the Gruppe M induction kit. It put a smile on my face every time I drove it though once I had the Gruppe M fitted as the sound it made during VTEC was incredible.

Performance wise I obviously didn't gain anything really especially without a remap (K100/KPro) but it made the car great fun for me to drive and only cost a total of £600 odd for the exhaust & induction kit. Peace. :)

I was going to say 300bhp without doing anything major would have been seriously impressive.

  8. Remapped TTRS is bordering on GT-R fast, especially with the DSG. That's where money would go if you're looking at them along with the Scirocco R.

Wow. I used to think tt's where pretty slow. The new one must be pretty good. I take it has 4wd?

  9. I wouldnt say its skimping though. Say there was 2 materials you could use. 1 is 100% and wouldnt break. And the other was made from nasa spacecraft metal that is 100%. Their both as good, 1metal us stronger but both do the job.

Superforma and ultralite, are they good brands?

I agree but eibachs are also easier to resale so it works out the same overall.

  10. If you want a decent exhaust that will last you and not fall apart within two years, then I would suggest increasing your budget if you are seeking a CAT back solution and try to avoid anything JapSpeed.

This is coming from a guy that has had both the K1 and K2 previously

    +1

  11. Thanks for the responses guys. Yep I really don't want to take the springs or spacers off, simply due to time restraints. Also certainly don't want to have the alignment sorted. I think I'll just let them know and if it really fusses them offer to provide the original springs for them to swap themselves. I think they're probably going to put it to auction anyway so hopefully they won't care!

I would take of spacers, even a garage would do it for very little. Up to you though.

How come your going for a 370z? Bored of the 350z or want the luxury?
