  1. back up for sale :)

    Not for £200 though?

ha no price is in the 1st post looking for £300 plus the 80 assignment fee

    :)

300? Did you not take heed of what was said before?

yeah like stew said personalised reg's are hard to value and i dont want to be greedy , i dont think its worth anymore than what i am asking for personally

i would rather let it go to someone else than remove it and lose it all together

  2. I paid £250 for my HKS cats from a seller on ebay, they were a bargain at the time even though they were second hand. They were mint B) Cost wise, you've just spent 1000's and you are concerned about the potential £400 extra for Hi-flow cats!!??? :surrender:

Bennet if you reckon you can change the decats yourself, then how come you paid somebody to change your brakes and everything else you've had fitted? ;) Brakes are easy to change.

Its a lot of work for the mot when you have to take the de-cats off, fit the standard ones back on, get it mot'd. Then take them back off and fit the decats again  Whats that gonna cost in labour? and if you can have a go yourself, will you have the spare time to do it, and what if something went wrong like snapping a stud or worse??? :scare:

Ok, you have the noise factor and it may sound awesome, but would you be happy with it resonating loudly through the car at 70-80mph up and down the M5 :headhurt:

Its not legal and there's no fun when you get pulled or stuff it in the hedge.

All for the sake of maybe getting a bit more power out of the Zed.

Hi-flow cats are simple fit and forget

Anyway can i interest you in a set of hi-flow cats for £200? :D

i'd bite your hand off for a set if you had them :D

  3.

What sort of trouble can you get in for no-cats then??

    coops

    MOT fail

    Depends who you know ;)

When I had my car dynoed with the decats in I was about 30 ft/lb down on standard. I had my car dynoed a few months ago with sports cats on & was at the same torque figure. Steve who had a different set of sport cats made similar torque figures to me :)

Dectas are worth it for the noise alone though :cloud9:

ah well there goes the theory that the torque loss was down to the decats if you made the same figures with a sports cat :D

i reckon my K2 with a resonated decat still wont be as loud as the K1 without the bungs in...

  4. recently change from K1 to a K2 and its a bit quiet for my liking but the K1 was a bit loud :D

was thinking of getting resonated decat pipe (ichiba or kinetix) to give it more of a growl but i ve read it can suffer heavily from loss of torque but other like adam from Z1 disagree with this?

i had my ep3 civic decatted and torque actually increased with the better flow

also will the car run lean? with my civic i had to get some sort of engine management when i decatted the car

oh and i am too tight to get a sports cat :D

  5. I do love my K2, certainly best thing I have bought so far. It actually makes the Zed sound like should (if you know what I mean!! )

yeah i ve not been in stock standard Z before so is hard to judge how it should sound, all i could hear before was the K1, i hope the K2 gets a bit louder once some carbon builds up

oh well looks like i need buy a plenum spacer and cai to add some more grunt :O

  6. just got K1 off and K2 fitted what a difference

car doesnt even sound like its started now that the K2 on , i miss the K1 already although the K2 does suit teh 350z much better

  7. i havea K1 just now and just about to switch to K2

K1 sounds great and looks great but i cant live with it on long journeys and it just doesnt look right with the bungs in

i know once i get the K2 fitted ai am goign to complain its too quiet though :(

  8. iv seen that black type r so many times on the way to work! recognised the W31 HAO plate right away glad u finally got a zed now lol will give u a quick race up the expressway in the mornings ;)

i think i pass your way when i goto work in mornings :)

glad to finally get the zed , let the modding begin...

  9. haha, is ridiculously loud a better way of putting it? skull crushing??

ha, my fezza ST used to be so loud i couldnt take it up my privvate road at night.... it was a really steep single track hill like. couldnt park it in my GF's street.... It did have a 4-2-1 branch performance manifold and straight through de-cated system. Used to spit flames also. Very hard to live with bt soooo fun at same time

i had a EP3 civic type-r with full manifold , de-cat and straight through exhaust and it isnt as loud as that.

its a loud good if that makes sense :)

not as loud my civic used to spit flames as well it was crazy loud

    K2 ordered already :p

just to clarify ha, its not as loud as your decated civic? or its louder? ha. im probs reading that stupid.

well, i am looking forward to getting it like. get that k2 ordered up pronto :p

loud aint the word mate :) but its a nice loud , it also sounds good with bungs in

  12. I really want to hear a k1 in the flesh

well i am near you mate gives a shout before its off the car

am i right in thinking it will fit to a standard y pipe?
