When the problem started on mine I tried to use one of those compressed air keyboard cleaners on it. The thing stopped skipping in favor of simply not recognising disks full stop.

R35LEE fixed mine in the end and its been perfect.

I bought my car with 7k miles and the tyres (original) looked pretty new. Guess it depends how you drive it though. Get new ones and geometry check done IMO

I've seen a couple of azure cars with black roof and limo tint rear window and think it looks great. I was wondering if anyone has had it done to a kuro and what it looks like? Also, what is a typical cost and is it easily removed?

Great job, the kuro is a very rewarding paint to detail IMO. Nice plate too, surely that thing is worth a lot of money to the right skyline vspec 2 owner?

Next time I get a similar scrape I will do a more detailed report. The meguires did all the hard work. Caution is advised with it, even on a DA polisher it's a very aggressive compound with the wool pad.

The sonus sfx system works great on my kuro zed but against damage this heavy it would be a very slow process without some cutting first. Sorts out holograms and swirls rapidly.

This wouldn't work on stone chips. Although the scratch looks pretty hideous it was mostly very light.

Another little present left on my car last week . Had a go at sorting it out myself with good success. Used meguires ultra cut compound on a soft wool pad to flatten it out, followed by sonus SFX1 on foam pad to tidy up, with sonus SFX3 again on foam pad to finish off.

Whole process took about an hour and i'm pleased with the results.

If the drying out fails, bear in mind these phones fetch very good money on eBay almost regardless of condition. I sold mine on there after it had fallen into a chocolate gâteau at a party. Wasn't working very well at all and this was clearly stated in the ad, still got over £200 for it, and it was the older, non "s" version.

Looking to update my knobs to the ones with the aluminium edges. Also after the silver gearstick surround, as in this pic:

Cheers, will set about looking for a replacement set of knobs. The center compartment i'm talking about is the one thats by your elbow when you are driving. It has the bluetooth adapter in it.

Looking to freshen up the interior a little, can the 06+ air-con knobs with the aluminium edges be applied to the older models? Anyone know a source for these?

Also, whilst i'm at it, what about the sliding center compartment?
