  1. I did look into it for 7K I could get an 01/02 with minimum of 70K miles but, unfortuanately the wife will have to drive it as well and she finds it too big also, I'm not sure I would feel safe letting her drive a RWd in the winter :surrender: .

In my next life I'll stay signle :p

  2. Well, the Zed will have to go and I'm looking to down size "with fun", 4 seater, 40mpg, i'm indicided if spending a bit more money now and get something decent and keep it standard or getting something cheaper and spend the cash on mod, having only 7K to spend the option to get a decent car is disappearing so I though to go something cheaper like fabia VRS sort of car and re map to 165bhp and 270ft/lb to start with, or if the missus fancy, maby an octavia which should be good for at least 180bhp.

Cheap, boring and ugly cars I know but if I save now I might be able to go back into proper sport cars in couple of years

  3. Could anyoneshare thought on Nissan Almera 2.2TDI '00 onwards

So far I know that it's fairly fugly and when cheaped can reach 193bhp which sound good

    Anything else?

    Thanks

  4. Taken from the intruduction post from Ross, in my opinion is the extra help and advise that you get from Japex that makes it worth, even when the Z will be gone I will still use them, top guys

We've been trading on here for about 2 months now and thought its about time we introduced ourselves properly. Japex is a family run business which was started about 4 years ago by my brother Stuart, I then decide to go into partnership with him about 2 years ago.

Stuart is a fully trained Toyota master technician with over 12 years experience working for main dealers, most of which was spent working at Jemca in London. As for myself I have worked for Nissan in Watford and St Albans since I was 16 completing my apprenticeship working on the 300ZX and 200SX. I gained my Nissan HI-TEQ status at 22 and went on to spend a lot of time working with Nissan technical on problems with the birth of the 350z including the infamous clicking rear axles (which i know, was never solved).

  5. Hi and Welcome

I'll soon have to give up mine due to a need for a four seater  , it's a JDM 03 imported in 06, ST(equals to a GT in the UK, leather heated seats, auto folding mirrors etc..), 60K miles, got it from a member on here 2 years ago.

Have a look at my signature for pictures (the front bumper is now scrathced), bang on on budget for you

  6. thanks mate

I dont think it's the samee issue but the first link it's probably the closer one to my problem except that mine doesnt shut while driving and doesnt stutter, however, I'll have a look at battery and filter in the morning

  7. Sure there was a post the other day about the same thing....

I have been using normal fuel for about 4 months with no problems, and the average mpg is the near enough the same when using 98 ron. Go figure....

Same here on mpg, I had to switch to get more juice in rather than increase mpg

  8. Hppened 4 times in 2 days now :scare:

Only when approacing roundabouts or traffic ligths, if I down shift it's fine but, if I slow donwn with the car in gear and the clutch pressed the car smoothly switch off, no warning lights or any funny things, I reach the stop and the engine is off (only the inignition lights are on as when you turn the key without turning the engine on), happen earlyer on but I did noticed before reaching the stop, I gave it some gas and the engine re started with a bit of a "turbo lag" effect.

Doesn't happen all the time and when it does happen the car re starts with no proble, the only thing that I reacently changed is that I now fill up on normal petrol rather than 99.

    Any ideas??

    Thank

  9. I owed a VW MK4 GTI good and realiable car but got bored as I needed something with a kick, don't like the look of the MK5, and the ST which is something that I would be considering won't save much much on petrol ( for what I've been told )

CrumbMC- I know what you're meaning and I'll probably still here next year :D

Skoda VRS MK1? Reviews seems good, main down point seems to be the luck of responces throught the stearing wheel when pushed which, apparenlty it's fixebla with some coilovers or other tricks
