I have one, was on it when I got her.

 

Oil was just below the plate when I stripped it out for the refurb - did think that was little low and needed topping up may not now

 

Mine does not leak from the top although at some point in the past it has had a leak in the pipe from the bottom of the tank - That pipe will be replaced when I rebuild the car next year.

 

Other than that no problems no squeaks no noise from the steering and she wrokrs fine both on and off track!

That's exactly what i thought that having the level below the plate seemed not enough fluid..

Im guessing that the plate acts like a splash plate to stop the oil getting air into the system again

I thought i would add my notes as i installed the Alloy tanks

when removing the OEM tank, i siphon the old fluid until dry then removed and fitted the Alloy tank and reused the old fluid as it still looked fine.

I did noticed when i put back the old fluid that there is a plate half way in the bottle and the fluid contained on the OEM bottle was about 2cm over this plate. I left it like this anyways and just kept an eye on it..

After getting all the air out of the system the car was fine until you drove it for half hour then (When parking) the power steering was slighty noisy again..This only happens when the car is hot..Its quite when cold. You can see loads of air bubbles in the oil again which is causing the noise..

When popping the bonnet i noticed a small oil residue coming out of the breather hole on top of the cap. So i thought maybe the plate is a max line so i drained a small amount of fluid to see if it improves..

Well it seem to make it a little worse, the noise was the same and when driving for a while seems to have more oil residue on the cap

So i decided to drain the oil level with the plate and now even more oil is coming out from the little hole of the cap and making quite a bit of mess

So our qst is if anyone has these tanks on there cars.. What level do you have the oil..Is it just below the plate or a few cm above the plate ??

Oh for handling wise for the Supra, The Supra is the best handling car i have driven IMO

I have not pushed Voodoo Zed yet so i cant compare the two though

99% of them are just covers that go over the top.

 

Sorry I don't have any in at the moment.

 

Can do you a nice set of carbon bonnet dampers and some engine bay bling bolts sets in various colours if you need a fall back plan. plus oil filler caps, Zed Logo or Nismo and nismo rad caps.

 

Or carbon fibre mirror covers

In regards to the lettering, pop a PM to rtbiscuit who can cut some lettering to whatever specifications you have.

I think i have seen the ebay link already and there the ones from the states, will look at them both again to check though..cheers mate

Hey everyone

I need some help getting my girlfriend some pressies for her 350Z

What she wants is the Battery and Brake covers in Carbon and the Engine cover too, preferably with the V6 3.5 Stamped in. These seem to be hard to get hold of, UV Worldwide have the engine cover (plain) but i cant seem to get hold of the Batt/Brake covers anywhere, no one has them in stock and wont get hold of them till July and i need them by June

I have also seen that you can get the Batt/Brake cover that fits over the OEM ones and ones which are a direct replacement, The only ones i have seen which are a direct replacement are from the states.

So my questions are, does anyone know where the best place to get these covers ?

Do people go the the covers which go over the OEM ones or direct replacements ones ?

Hi guys, just a quickie, got a wheel off to fit my new 20mm spacers but the disc bolt is in the way, is this normal, does it have to be ground off?

Girlfriend has started looking for a black 350Z GT now and i was just wondered if anyone in the Surrey area would mind showing us your 350, what to look out for etc etc. My girlfriend has been forever researching what to look for on the buying guide and it would be good just to see a 350z up close and have a chat before we actually buy one. Would be great if it would be possible for you to take me for a spin too just so i know what to expect from the one we want to buy..Im in the Kingston area but anywhere in Surrey would be great...

HA, yea still on there , dont worry thats getting ripped right off when i get it, as the windows are getting tinted next week lol

 

Im not putting more power to it, its at BPU at the mo and its been on the rollers at 420bhp. Im sticking with that for a while untill i do my research on what single turbo to go for. I would like to get between 600 to 700bhp next

Carbon fuse box cover, spark plug cover, slam panel

Chrome cam covers, power steering res etc

Sorting out all my Defi guages
