  1. Emm not sure on the 350 mate, but there are a few cars out there now that have learning ecu's. For the first x amount of miles the ecu measures the type of driving style I.e fast or economical....if you potter around you gain more mpg but slower acc and top end, if you have a heavy foot you gain the full bhp & ft/lb torque but lower mpg if you follow me.. Maybe you just remeber it been faster...lol..
  2. Thanks for the help guys...I'll get one sorted and see what happens. Alexz
  3. Evening people, just a quick one...When I wax oiled my car a little while back I noticed there was a little sutt around the rear back box to middle section. Does anyone know what type and size gasket this is??? I'm guessing its a metal woven ring gasket or compression ring. I would like to replace it rather then just using exhaust paste if I have to split the joint Alex
  4. Cool mate, so the parking sensors will be left in the bumper but not working? Alexz
  5. From my Thatcham training a Cat D is when the vehicle repairs cost a certain percentage (insurance compaines choice normally between 60-80%) of the vehicle mid book valve. Cat D and C isnt really anything to worry about if you can do the labour yourself and just have to buy the parts. A Cat C is when the repair cost are over the value of the vehicle retail costs not a percentage if you follow me.... There must have been more damage for a Cat D, it is the insurance compaines choice if the vehicle is to be repaired even if the customer doesnt want the car back in my experiance. Alexz
  6. I would pay the bodyshop and accept it mate, we as a bodyshop have rectified lots of the smart repairs that customer havent been happy with. £230-£270 is a fraction of the price for a full new replacement. With anything in life if you want it right you have to pay. Just pay once and be happy is my experiance... Alexz
  7. If you came to my bodyshop mate you would be looking about £250inc vat for the removal and repair of the bumper from what I can see. Alexz
  8. Welcome to the club matie... Alexz
  9. Looking at the image mate it should repair fine if the bumper is removed unless theres a split I cant see on the image...I work in a bodyshop and we have repair a lot worse... Alexz
  10. Haha, yeh man the time is about 3-5 mins now...longest time is waiting for the drivers seat to slide & tilt forwards. Once you have the seat in the most forward postition, just slide the bike in over the strut brace (into the front seat area) then slide the rear of the frame back under the strut brace if you get me...Bish Bash Bosh. I normally ride with a mate who has a van so thats simples... But were needs must etc i can make it work.. Alexz
  11. Just both wheels and pedals, oh I also had to reduce the front suspension to 95mm... Alexz
  12. Haha there is a little food in there but mainly bike parts and gear.... Alexz
  13. Haha, always thinking , I took a leather and theres a bike wash there. Most cycle centres have a hose or jet wash for you to clean the muck off...It did rain for the 5 hours we were riding and while I packed it away... Alexz
  14. Well my mate moved down to Slough a few months back, I haven't seen him in ages but we arranged to meet at Lady Bower for a spot of mountain bike yesterday... I've seen some road race bikes in the back of the Z, but I havent found a MBR yet... I'm not a big rack lover although I do like Carolines design the most up to now... 40mins of messing about and it was in...only draw back is I had to rest the front wheel on the passanger seat (covered of course). alexz

  17. auto-adjusting wipers? I thought its the mic for the hands-free? I'm sure I read in the manual they have auto adjust wipers. I guess there had to been some screen sensor? I would like to know were the mic is lol, I just thought it was the two little speaker looking things on the roof lining. Alexz
  18. +1 Autoglass did mine yesterday lol... Very clean job, he did say it was the first one he had done, this worried me a little lol... What is the black "sensor" near the rear view mirror...Only noticed this today. I guess its something to do with the auto adjusting wipers? Alexz
