Good luck with the sale bud, as I cannot sell mine and they are substantially less than what you are asking for, not that yours are not worth it because I think they are. Better off keeping them, maybe for the winter months and save your nice alloys/tyres for the finer weather. Just a though.

Do these come up very often? As I want to replace my JDM spec ones which reads in kmh to a UK spec for the MPH indication. Not sure if there is a wire that can be changed to make the kmh read mph instead as I cannot see into the LCD very easily, but thought if I buy the correct one then at least its gonna work.

Anyone got a UK spec triple Guage pod if so how much?

I have a 53plate JDM which has the Bose System. I want something a little nicer and if possible a Double Din DVD System but would like to know what you guys have fitted and how difficult a job it is. I have no probs with the electrical/electronic wiring but want to know what is possible as some systems will not work at all. Also what additional leads are required, again to ensure all fits and works as it should and maybe the steering controls too, however this is not that necessary.

The car also has had a UK spec Sat Nav Upgrade too and of course want this to work correctly, ie speech.

I would be gratefull of some answers.

Yep I know that now, sorry. Not used to how this forum works and saw that the guides section was full of questions so posted there. Realised later it was wrong. Soz again, but you will see that they were both posted close to each other hence two had to be moved.

As subject I have these alloys up for sale as I purchased a Set of Rays. They are in great condition, two are perfect the other two have some curbing around the very outside rim but not that much and not that noticable. The tyres are in fantastic condition and are Goodyear Excellence 245/45/18 rears and Yokohama Ecos 235/4018 on front.

credit card size reader thats says ETC on it is the Toll Road card reader - probably for the toll roads in Toyko.

 

mine used to speak to me in japanese each time i switched the engine on - saying something like - "dont forget to insert your toll card". there was also a volume button on the reader so yours might do the same if you turn the volume up!

The JDM sat nav screen is crap (low resolution) and not worth the effort, and thats assuming you can get a suitable NTSC/PAL converter for the DVD.

I am sure mine is an aftermarket install when the car got to the UK. I have a lot of paperwork on how to install it etc and seem to remember the guy I bought it off stating this too, so presume this is a UK Spec install. Does this make a difference or is this still crap resolution?

Id say when looking go for a Z go for one that has a low milage as possible but defo make sure there is a FSH with it, also look for as many of the optional extras as you can afford as youll only regret this later. If its a JDM dont count the sat nav as an option as it just wont work!

 

Be patient pal it took me six months to find one that suited me and then I found it a mile down the road!!

Mine is a JDM and the Birdsview Sat Nav works fine. Does this mean mine has been upgraded or something?

Hi here is another one for ya from me.

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to fit a DVD player to the car and utilise the Sat Nav display. It seems not and probably the display resolution would be poor, but what about other possibilities what have you guys done? I am thinking of maybe replacing the Bose Double Din system with something, again what is best, especially as I would like to retaing the Steering wheel functionality.

This is a Jap import if it makes any difference.

Still need to know what the Compass Link is for if anyone has any ideas? Its the other side of the Auto DJ button on the Courtesy light assembly. It does seem however that these additional buttons are not of much use to me ere.

Also - I believe the credit card thing is actually a SIM card holder for built in phone (remember how big old SIM cards used to be!) - I had one of these on a Merc SLK a few years ago

I do remember, showing my age now. That would also make sense as the car does have a Phone symbol/button on the steering wheel. I guess that this is useless then?

Thats interesting regarding the Auto DJ. It seems they have some great stuff over in Japan/USA. In the meantime I will have to wait till it gets ere if I still have the Zed by then.

its probably something for paying the road tolls in Japan - we've seen various attachments for this on imports. Not 100% sure though - and don't know about the buttons near the light.

Take a look at the two images I have attached to this thread. Not sure what these are for, the ETC one fits a credit card perfectly and ejects it too so it is obviously for something like that, but what?

The other photo, shows two buttons at the courtesy light area of the windscreen. Seems to indicate something to do with the Sat Nav maybe, ie Compass, but pushing them does not do anything, well nothing I noticed anyway. Maybe its a secret James Bond Ejector Seat Button The Auto DJ?????? mmmm me speculates.

Any help here guys as I am sure someone else must of had these fitted to there cars in the past. By the way this is an Import.
