Hey guys thanks for the info,
Thanks Maccaman, for listing that post, promise i did try the search and i did come across that post but it does not give me all the answers i need,
i now know i need the following:
1. Double din facia adapter for 06 onwards
2. ICT 29-674 (so i can connect to the Bose system and retain the steering controls)
3. ICT 29-007 (to link the controls to the Pioneer head unit im looking at getting)
4. An in-line booster for the pre-outs (to solve the volume issues)
However, Im still a little confussed, and none the wiser with regard to the NAV sound?
someone must have replaced the crappy Bose head unit with an aftermarket unit in a car with factory Nav?
I just dont wanna spend a fortune on a new head unit, and loose the Nav sound.
Does anyone know if the factory NAV will continue to give spoken instructions once the Bose head unit is replaced?
Also what if i replace the Bose amp, with an aftermarket amp, and run phono's from the head unit to the amp, would there be useable connections from the Bose amp for the existing speakers?
or would i have to run new speaker wires also?
I understand i would have to run new power / earth / remote / phono cables.
its just running new speaker cables, surely if im not replacing the speakers and just matching the amp to the power / impedance of the existing Bose speakers then the existing cables would be fine? and if the factory NAV does work with a new head unit then it must be connected to the existing speaker wiring somewhere?
any ideas......
