  1. Looking at a house move and of course the car needs to fit in the garage! Ok looks like it will go nicely even with the wing mirrors out and 215cm I will have plenty of space either side. The interior of the garage is wider so shouldn't be a squeeze to get out either. Cheers chaps. The house will get into the short listing.

  2. Yeap manual defo has it, sounds fantastic going down through the box once you get a sports exhaust fitted, mine crackles and pops when hot, best experienced in the alps in Europe for full effect.

The only other manual car I have driven which has this cool feature was a 2013 Cayman S. It was no slicker than the nissan system.

  3. The box in the early Zeds needs care when shifting quickly, personally I found it bloody awful, my Dad reckoned it was TVResk.

The later 350z revup and HR gearbox's are a massive improvement. Really transformed my liking for the car.

The 370z is equal in terms of shift feel to the HR and revup zeds, still pretty poor when compared to the manual M Cars, S2K, Porsche etc.

  4. Picked up my OEM indoor stretchy car cover from the dealer yesterday. The dealer let me do a test fit before committing to the purchase of it, very nice of them as it meant opening the packaging.

The cover is meant for the Coupe but fits the Roadster perfectly assuming a stubby type aerial is fitted.

Great quality and fit, price, I am a very happy bunny. Also has 370z plastered on the front just in case you forget what you are driving.

Still need to get around to fitting a few other little bits recently purchased :teeth:.

  5. The whole wheel is stripped, repaired then painted. See there website for more details. It's correctly prepped etc.

It wasn't that bad, lip damage only, I am just a bit ocd on my Zeds condition. I had the front mint rim done to ensure 100% paint match. Bit frustrating having a perfectly good rim stripped back but not as frustrating as a mis match.

Think it's about £70 inc vat per wheel. Not a large outlay imo yearly.

  6. Just had two wheels refurbed by BJV engineering after clonking the rear one during this years mountain pass road trip.

Hopefully they did as good job on the paint as last time! Shall find out on Saturday when I collect it.

Always a nervous wait after my experience with another so called wheel painting expert.

Cant stand not having having mint alloys.

  7. Mclaren cars were giving away a flyer which did a similar thing at this years geneva motorshow, it was pretty amazing! Still got the fancy flyer somewhere, will have to dig it out. Its all about augmented reality hey. Reckon we will see a lot more of this in coming years.

  8. My flee bay oe nissan juke aerial arrived today. In terms of fit it is good, it pulls down onto the gps mount snug, it's slightly larger in diameter than the or 370z one but loads shorter:)

Radio reception doesn't seem to be affected either which was my main worry.

It's a keeper and I will post so photos up over the weekend. The broom stick is offically retired.

  9. Did some digging around and it looks like the part number is 282151FC0A according to the US part number site. It appears this mast is common to the Juke and other Nissan cars. It is 175mm long, they are available oem from flee bay for £14. So I ordered one, shall let you know how I get on with FM radio reception and general fit etc.

  10. Sent the discs of yesterday, I repaired and reburnt disc 0,I have included it in the pack along with original up to you guys if you use it. Like I said only slight glitch was with the 0 install disc. Not a bigy. May have been a big bump on the road thinking about it. Sent 1st class to Bakseedaa:)

  11. My ten pence worth as I was in the same place about one year ago and my choices were same as yours pretty much.

E90 M3, covered a fair few miles in one of these. Only words to describe, mega! Both in enjoyment and yearly running costs if looked after properly. S5 bit too plain for my liking, looks too similar to S line oil burner, lovely inside.

My leftfield choice was a tidy 996 X50 turbo! Massive grip and stonking performance, just looked dated inside after going in boss's 997C4S. Probably will have to go back and scratch that itch at some point. Probably a 997 turbo when funds allow.

I would go for a good test drive for all your candidates then decide :teeth:. All nice cars in my opinion which tick different box's.

Oh, I ended up with a 370z roadster and not looked back.

  12. Right chaps all done, the only bother I had was with the very first disc which sorted itself out quickly after switching the car on and off.

All the maps loaded without a hitch. I went for a great drive while all the maps loaded. All discs loaded back to back no messing around after the first disc.

I am assuming Dogfather is next on the share list. Dogfather please pm me your address and I shall get the disc set sent out once I have made a copy of the masters for one of my friends.

Many thanks for sharing the love:)
