On it's way tomorrow night so i'm told
-
Still waiting a tracking number at the moment guys
-
Still waiting on the tool but trust me, for the money we spent it WILL work!
Forced induction no problem either.
As soon as i have updates i will post.
-
With any luck the tool should be on it's way by Tuesday
-
I'd advise you coming in the car so we can custom map to suit but it would be possible to do on the bench.
-
Waiting the pro-forma invoice then good to go.
-
Let's get the tool in then we can see exactly which ones are covered.
-
It should be able to cover all 2003+ EDM, JDM and USDM so hopefully yeah
-
Technosquare works on ecu collect, remap and return. They are US based.
Uprev Osiris is another software which is a basic reflash of the ecu, datalogging, and uploading custom maps based on the data you send them. They are US based and have an agent in the EU but they havent yet started on EU Ecu's yet.
The above 2 companies are the ones I know of that have a very good reputation in the Z33 Ecu flash work.
It is a worthwhile mod and will bring the best out of the NA mods. Would you be able to tell us which company you have tied up with so that we can do our own research on cars that have been modified already to get comfortable with the reputation of the product you are offering?
Thanks
Bobby
Hi Bobby
It really wont matter which tool we are using, the main point is that we will be able to custom map any 350 on our dyno. All the mapping is done by me so no sending off files for modification etc. I would gladly use ANY tool that will read and write this ECU. As long as i have access thats the main thing

No, i never had a response from them regarding the tool they supply so...
-
Thanks guys.
The company we are dealing with regarding the actual tool to flash the unit are already mapping these day in and day out. I just need to finalise a few details with them and we should be the first in the UK to be able to offer this service via OBD.
As i said before, we already have an option to JTAG the ECU but this get's awkward when mapping as it's so easy to lift the pads and circuits.
-
this sounds intresting.... where are you guys based??? also will u be able to do the 07+ cars aswell bud??
-ho
We are in Leeds. The company producing the tool are currently adding the 07+.
With some of the JDM we will need to dump the full software from the ECU to enable support within the tool/software.

Hi Guys
Thought we'd pop on and say hi
Hopefully we will have the ability to map the OE ecu very very soon. We currently can support them via JTAG on the bench but this is a fairly risky way to do it!
We will be able to offer a full custom mapping service for all versions. Possibly even an option of switchable mapping! We expect a retail price of about £495 which will be a much cheaper option than the current available haltech etc.
Any questions please ask away.
Paul
Have you actualy done one yet?
Not yet no
-
Very interesting, hope it will be like HONDATA KPRO..
Jerry
Not quite like hondata but similar i suppose

Don't hold your breath on this one guys.
We all know the pitfalls, issues and disappointments with the stock ecu's.
I would not want to be the first on this one as full R @ D requires to be carried out and then a period of prolonged real world testing would have to be done.
The OP does not appear to be able or willing to answer some of the most basic questions that have been put to him, so I won't bother with the techie ones.
Avoid at the moment.
Having said all that, welcome to the forum Paul and good luck with the project.
Alex.
Sorry, what questions have been asked? Edit: Just seen them now. Sorry i went to bed so could not answer!
The processor used in most of the ecu's fitted to these is the same as fitted in the Megane RS. I wouldn't be so dismissive about this becasue i can assure you it WILL happen.
-
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone
Yes, that's us, based in Leeds close to the centre so you can be sure these's plenty to do. Take the MRS shopping or whatever!
-
As we have not modded on like this yet it's hard to say what gains will be but i'm confident it will be well worth!
You can borrow my car for a week if you need a test car (wanted to get in there first )
Haha, funny enough i've just been looking in the forsale section but i really have no room for another car.
-
if you were to mod the car setup after the new map is installed will the map adjust to the new exhaust/filter etc, or would it need remapping?
It might need a slight tweak but this will be on an hourly rate so no worries about paying over and over again for a map.
-
Welcome RS Tuning. Looking forward to this mod so very much. How soon are you going to be offering this service? Can i be the first to book my car in? as i think there will be a waiting list for this.
Thanks, should be worthwhile for vmax and rpm so all is good. As we have not modded on like this yet it's hard to say what gains will be but i'm confident it will be well worth! We should hopefully be able to run a boosted setup on there too
I'm looking at the next couple of weeks ish. I'll keep everyone posted with updates

Brilliant. once you get this set up the £££ will start rolling in. we've been waiting years for this
Could you explain the 'risky' way a little?
Hope so
Basically some of the 10 points you need to solder onto are slightly small!
Ah okay. Also (sorry for all the Qs) why is the Zed mapping so expensive? Is it just to cover the initial setup costs or is there more work involved than other cars?
Basically the ECU used is not commonly found in other cars so the access via OBD to read and flash is not readily available. I'm sure we can sort something very soon.

Welcome to the forum...
Thanks

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum. Could you please contact one of the admin team if you want to trade.
All sounds very interesting.
Thanks for the welcome. Who can i PM/Email?
Don't want to be a free loader
-
Hi Paul & to the forum. Sure to be a lot of interest in a proven remapping of the ECU.
Thanks Maccaman.
Forgot to mention, live mapping from memory should be possible too
