  1. Sorry guys i think i came over a bit harsh before Of course this is very early stages of mapping these but essentially full access to the ECU is possible via several methods. I am sure some won't gain as much and some will gain more. In terms of is this the limit i think maybe not so i will continue to better the map on this car when time allows. Next week is the true test as we are mapping a supercharged one on the OE unit. In terms of other things we can offer.. at the moment we are concentrating mostly on the mapping so servicing and other general work is sent to my fathers garage only 3 miles from here. We are however trying to move into the bigger unit next door as this will allow much more workshop space (only one 2 poster at the moment). I'm looking forward to further development on the mapping as i prefer a challenge! I'm sure we will collect some very useful info in terms of dyno plots etc.

  3. The stock ECU is very very clever in terms of control and ability. There is a target map for WOT (pretty much) then the base fuel tables. There are several advance correction maps then the main advance tables. (and variable cam blah blah) The car has been mapped part throttle AND WOT. I'd be happy for this car to go on another dyno because for those who have done research into our company will know that we are always called for been "low". I regret not putting the stock rom back on the car now but on the gen1 it's not that simple. The car has been on the dyno several times on different days and has always produced the same ore there abouts. In my personal experience the most power can be made round the 12.8 mark and for the extra torque drop to about 12.3 on NA to gain a couple of degrees advance due to a colder chamber. The point here is that if you want the car mapping on the stock ECU it is possible and we can do it. If you feel the need to pull everything apart that's posted up then go ahead but i guarantee you won't find any BS from us. I will be testing that car again very soon and will also lean it out again to test but from our experience last time it prefered to be on the richer side. As for the octane, i believe he was running vpower, this does not mean he can't run 95 if really needed because the ECU has excellent detonation protection built in, including a second advance map if any det occurs.
  4. All the maps on the 350Z's will be custom due to the nature of the software we are using. I suppose generic would be possible but not really worth as the ECU is not as simple as the clio! Paul
  5. Cheers Not sure what gains they are seeing in the states. Getting the figures up top was fairly easy really, it was getting all the torque in midrange that was harder. There will be some variation between cars of course so it's possible some may post similar numbers to this stock. On a back to back basis the gains we have seen while testing have been good. We have done this in stages and tested each time so what you see here is just a final result really. Paul
  6. I can't or should i say won't quote gains because each car will be different. It will be tunable i dare say but how much i wouldnt like to say.
  7. We need a good 4 hours or so to do the mapping. I think gains will be similar to this if i'm honest but it depends how good or bad it's running in the first place. NO modifications are required.

  9. The DD software applies correction based on temps and many other factors. The car was run today with a mod we made the other week, it made the same power. Fly figures on a decent dyno are by far pointless as if used correctly they can be pretty accurate. Stock AT 17 IT 21 As you can see it's hotter today than it was stock, the theory there is that we would make more power if it was the same temp. As i remember the strongest stock cal'd car has made no more than 280 so minimum 12hp and 10lbft on this. The main thing to note is the midrange increases of upto 20lbft torque.
  10. Here are the graphs from an otherwise standard car, we have been doing this one in various stages to test. We are happy to say the gains didn't change between days on the mod the car initially ran http://www.rstuning.co.uk/photos/350Z%20Fly.pdf http://www.rstuning.co.uk/photos/350Z%20WHP.pdf
  11. Standard car mapped on the stock ecu has gained 13hp and plenty of midrange torque Will post a thread with the graphs.
  12. Sorry for the lack of updates. The roms we dumped have now been added to the support matrix so we can tune them. We had a car in yesterday and made some progerss (10hp or so for now) It's coming back in shortly but we are so booked up at the moment it's hard to fit things at short notice. I want to work on the midrange advance as i've got the fueling pretty much where i want to now. The gains we have so far have been from the cam phase and fuel so there is potential for more If we can't tune them with UpRev for whatever reason and you traveled miles we do have another option still but this requires some soldering to give us access direct to the processor. Once we get a car fully tuned i will post the details and i'm sure the customer will give feedback (was very happy with the difference made already )
  13. We have managed to dump 2 ECU's today and sent them over for patching. Some cars are already supported so they can be tuned already Map switching is only available on the GEN2 ecu's Paul
  14. I think we need a different version of the software that dumps the gen1 ecu basically. It should dump the rom but does not give an option at the moment. They have given me a couple of things to try on the next gen1 but they are perfectly sure we can go ahead and map them with no issues and can put them back to stock with the rom they already have. I am mapping a car next week so will post results ASAP.
  15. Just need more cars to dump the ecu's It seems some will be already supported so we can go ahead and map these straight away, some will need patching which is a 2 week turn around. Paul
  16. Hi Guys Yes, we are using Uprev We are a pro tuner outlet for them so all the mapping will be done here. The only issue IMO is that we need to send unknown roms for them to patch so the license can be installed (bit like EcuTeK in some ways). We didnt really have much time to test on Chris's car but i do believe the reason it would not dump was because the ecu was already in the patched list. Although i am guessing and awaiting the response from Uprev! P.S. Thanks for calling in chris, yes we do loads of renaults but the R26R is mine so be careful what you say I'll answer everyones questions on monday but it's a bit hectic here as i'm going away for the weekend and attempting to sort everything out prior to this. Cheers Paul
  17. I need to get some cars read first mate, i think most will need to be patched so the software supports them. Plus i'm in Ireland this Saturday Paul
  18. can be there at about 4 - 4.30pm today if you are quick as i have to be away form Leeds before the rush hour starts! Good to speak to you mate, see you shortly!
  19. Be careful what you ask for! I give it until CoB today before you have more Zeds than you know what to do with beating down your door! Look forward to seeing the results when this is done Haha, looking forward to it too tbh, will be nice to get some mapped up and running nice
  20. I need to get a selection of cars in to read the ECU's. Make sure all the software is supported and if not send them off for patching. So if anyone is passing
  21. Postal service for a generic reflash will be no problem May 5, 2009 6:21 PMAt dest sort facilitySTANSTED GB
  22. Estimated delivery May 6, 2009 by 12:00 PM Just been emailed this by fedex
  23. Looking at £495+vat for the custom mapping with dyno time etc. Dyno day will be no problem at all. £35 per car if there's 10+. Each will get a printout of WHP, AFR, Estimated Fly power and torque. Cheers Paul
