Hi, Bought a Genuine Nissan filter today cos I want to do an interim service on the Z before the next main dealer one. 2 questions! 1. Is the filter really small or is it me!!! 65mm high, and about 65mm diameter. Part number 15208-9F600 (Same part as an Almera?!) 2. What grade of oil is used normally. The guy at Nissan said they use a 10w40 semi synthetic. I am happy to use semi-synth since thats all I have ever used on my previously (quite modded) Golf Turbos that I have had several of over the years. But wanted to see what people recommend here. He mentioned Magnatec but I really dont rate this stuff Cheers Luke

I bought 121 a few weeks ago. But the wierd thing is that in work the other day (bout 100 people max) 119 was parked in my car park. Mines Black / 119 is yellow.....! 121 is great tho.....!

Hi, Just a quick question about the power output of a 350Z. Since the "gentlemans" agreement in Japan over the years was a bhp limit of 276bhp, is the car actually 276bhp, or do they seem to make more power than that and they just CLAIM its 276? I know there are other models (300PS/313PS) before the p!ss taking starts I have had a few 300-400bhp cars, and a few 200+ so got a fair gauge of what different power levels feel like, and I reckon that the Z feels like it makes more than 276. I saw a dyno for a stock 350Z which was making just over 250@wheels. I would have thought that there is more than bout 20hp losses?! Anybody dyno-ed stock cars to see what results they got?

Hi, My mate has an '04 350Z with the GT pack. I have just bought an '05 350Z GT4. I know of the obvious differences such as: GT4 plate with ID number Different Wheels 300PS Engine Are these the only differences between them? Cheers Luke

Hey everyone. Only had my GT4 a few days, and as part of the deal when I bought it from the garage was they were replacing the rear tyres. On collecting the car and gettin it home, the back tyres are 225/45/18s (like the front) On my mates 350 GT (non GT4) he has 245s on the back, and my manual says that they should be 245s on the rear too.. Can you confirm 2 things for me please? 1. Am I correct in assuming that the rears are meant to be 245s? 2. Is the actual front/rear rim different to accomodate the different sizes or will the rims take 225 or 245s within their 'J' rating? Cheers Luke

Hi, The VAG COM uses OBD2 (and the lead I have supports the CAN bus also). My last car which was a 1.8T 20V GTi only used the OBD2, and received sensor updates on a poll as you said, because when you read three sensors simultaneously, the update rate was 3 times slower so I guess it was polling them in a "round robin" style.. So as far as the software mentioned in the comments in the post, will these generally support my first 3 on the wish list? What would people recommend for these? Also I am guessing I will need a new lead since the VAG-com one will not work?! Ah well jus wanna be able to diagnose the Z even though there is nothing wrong with it, how sad is that!!!

Hey everyone thanks for the welcome I have a black one, number 121 With these different types of diagnostics, what type of functionallity is supported? If I had a wish list then it would be in this order: 1. Fault Codes 2. Resetting Service/Fault lights 3. Real time data for timing/duty cycle etc 4. Recoding (such as one click to unlock the doors, instead of two) What level do the things people have mentioned support if you already use them. Most importantly is the first 2 really Cheers Luke

Hi everyone! Just bought myself a 2005 GT4 after YEARS of ownin VW's (dont hate me!) But really wanted a V6 with rear wheel drive Want to get diagnostics for the Z, but dont know which software is the best. For the VW I used VAGCOM (which was AMAZING ) Also wonder wether I could re-use this VAGCOM lead since its a standard USB->OBD2 lead and will physically fit. Just wondering if there is software out there for me to buy/download. Cheers Luke
