Just me underwhelmed with the end result then... They didn't even use the right viscosity
Here's the 1980s Castol adverts they ripped-off:

...not touch the brakes much. Keeps your MPG up too as its constant braking and accellerating that will burn most fuel.
+1 A lot of drivers seem to think your right foot must be pressing either the accelerator or brake at all times Nothing more satisfying than completing my 30+ minute rush-hour commute and only touching the brake pedal 5 or 6 times.
And as for people who accelerate towards red traffic lights...
But even my average drops like a stone making short trips or sitting in traffic... It's a heavy car with a big engine
-
Filled up this morning... 32.2 mpg indicated, 31.1 mpg actual... Theoretical 545 miles from a full tank
-
If it's got the full satnav (as in top photos) why has he got his map of France out?
Good point Not to mention he looks about 12

If it was a rare beatiful Silver it was probably mine
I was talking about a silver Almera GTI Had a red one for over 3 years so they always catch my eye
Mine is silver too and a "rare" non-GT
-
I'm working on the East side of Amersham for a few weeks and have a seen a black one heading to the M25 in the morning. Seems to be loads of Almera GTIs about as well... Saw 3 in one day including a rare silver one.
P.S. Your roads are shocking... Don't know how you can stand the potholes

It looks light Twilight Grey to me.
Correct, I got it wrong. Doesn't exactly sparkle even in sunlight but at least the bumpers and body match

Flicked through both magazines today and Nissan has hooked them up with silver 370s to run as long terms cars.
Both positive so far except for commenting on early thirst and noise... and "It’s no Porsche Cayman"

Another one done My lead cost 99p and I had some old tapes from "back in the day"
-
A few of us have already visited your showroom.
Pity you don't also deal with Zs and GTRs because regular Nissan dealers are hit and miss when it comes to selling and servicing anything beyond a Micra

Funny how this mod has suddenly reached critical mass all of a sudden. Think i might have to check out if its the same on my non-Bose.
I was thinking the same... This mod dates back to 2004
Mod is exactly the same on a non-GT Nissan-branded head unit... I know because I did it to mine 6 months ago

MPG
in 370z General
over in the States they struggle to get over 25MPG on tight enginesBut a US gallon is way smaller than ours (3.8l vs 4.5l) so 25mpg in the US is 30mpg in our money.
Brochure claims over 36mpg for cruising... That is your target

MPG
in 370z General
Should do at least 3 mpg more than a 350Z according to the Gov test figures
-
1 Km = 0.62 mile
4.55 l = 1 Gallon
MPG = 2.82 x KM/L

chop the plug end bit off and hard wire it in so I can charge my satnav
I was thinking along the lines of opening up the big black plug and retaining any fuses or other components inside. Could be an easier/cheaper way to get all the bits needed and can charge a bunch of phones too... But it might be more effort overall... Let us know the result.
What do I care... My MP3 player lasts 2 weeks between charges

not sure to get a blank cassette or take the metal bit and spring out ?
Cassette is guaranteed to work but removing the metal part is more hit and miss. Works for some people and not for others. You can even stick a pen or pencil through the slot to push the mechanism into play position (once it's back in the car and powered up).

i do have a blackberry It does have a phono out, i wonder if i could get it to work through my bose ?
Yes most people add a regular aux cable instead. The cable used here just takes analog audio from (and supplies power to) the iPod connector rather than from the headphone socket.
AlexZ has written the most detailed guide here: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=507429#p507429

Agreed. Although I'm not happy with the direction they took with it and can't see myself buying one, I'm still glad it exists!
By chance I've just read an article in Car&Driver comparing wheel sizes. The results:
0-60mph
15s = 7.6sec
16s = 7.7sec
17s = 7.8sec
18s = 7.9sec
19s = 7.9sec
Grip
15s = 0.83g
16s = 0.85g
17s = 0.85g
18s = 0.89g
19s = 0.88g
Braking
15s = 130ft
16s = 133ft
17s = 128ft
18s = 126ft
19s = 126ft
Economy
15s = 23.3mpg
16s = 22.9mpg
17s = 22.8mpg
18s = 21.9mpg
19s = 21.1mpg
Wheel Weight
15s = 40lb
16s = 46lb
17s = 48lb
18s = 51lb
19s = 54lb

Called "Black Rose" here and only available on the roadster:

Have no problem with super-light 19s on 450+ bhp supercars 18s wouldn't fit over the huge brakes!
But on smaller, lighter cars 19s do compromise the ride and handling. Ask Stephen Marvin, technical director of Renaultsport. He says the Megane 250 handles better on 18s but the marketing department slaps 19s on all the review cars.
When Porsche sends a Cayman out for review it's usually on stock wheels: http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/233378/porsche_cayman_s.html The Lotus Evora does have 19s on the back but they had the sense to put narrow 18s on the front.
I'm sure the 370 would handle as well as the 350 if they'd stuck with the same wheels, although they would look silly in those huge arches. Personally I'd rather have a car that's lighter on it's feet with a better ride and sharper steering, even if the ultimate grip is less.

Really clean install for Apple lovers... Looks factory installed!
Worth posting a link to eBay and explaining how/where you connected the power wires as I'm sure others will want to fit one.
-
The GT3 wheels are mega-money single bolt jobs, and the fronts are still narrower than the 370Z GTs.
The 350Z was universally praised for its handling... I don't remember anyone saying it needed more grip? Why tinker with a winning formula
-
Porsche offer 19s because they've got them on the shelf and can make a tidy profit off them But a base Cayman is still on 17s and Cayman S only 18s. The Mclaren F1 does pretty well on 18s as well!

I went to a dealers on Monday to view and test drive a 370Z. I arrived, and 45 minutes later after I was grilled by the salesman asking, "when was I going to buy one" and "can we make a deal today"
Unfortunately in the time it takes to sell a 370Z they can sell 3 Micra's at list price to less demanding customers, making far more commission
IMO all Nissan really needed to do was to sort out the crappy ecu mapping on the 350Z. Give it a bigger boot and fit much nicer instrument display and Sat Nav, that's all it needed.But the marketing department came along and said we need 19" wheels because it will "look good in the brochure". Kudos to Subaru and Mitsubishi for sticking to lightweight 18s... 19s are not even optional
