I would really recommend trying to get a telecoms job in the oil industry, there are tonnes of jobs especially abroad, most places abroad are on a month and month rota and your probably talking over £60K p/a, plus really good benifits.
Oilcareers.com is a good website, also try the usual suspects, shell, total, bp, chevron, amec, talisman, apache etc etc

I bet you guys and gals have owned some nice cars in the past.
My 1st car was a Citroen Light Fifteen reg. no. NUC 99 similar to this one

The best car I've owned is my current Zed - It's AWESOME
What was your 1st car and what is/was the best car you ever had?

Probably best to get some fresh gaskets and bolts and PLENTY of copper slip incase you need to take them off again.

Why dont you just flock over the top of the sub panel? The sound from the sub isnt reliant on it being directional or free to breath if you know what I mean.
If you are concerned though im sure the guys doing the work could flock over the top but make a few cut outs in the flock.
If its cosmetics that interst you more then flock over the top and then cut out the flock around the speaker grill itself and then go and buy a Kicker sub grill and mount that in place. - These can be painted to match anything you like.
Just my 2 cents worth - it looks awesome mate and im sure youve thought of all this!
Thanks, yeah I will probably just go over the top of it. Flocking is on hold just now until i do a few more external bits.

all thats missing is a cuddly toy
I've recently seen a product called FilterMag (clicky) being used quite a lot by the 370z boys in the States. Does a similar thing to a magnetic sump plug, but a lot stronger and covers a bigger area. My guess is it does a hell of a lot of a better job than the sump plug as it covers a larger surface area and is exposed to more oil flow. Someone give it a try and see if it works
(http://www.filtermag.co.uk/ seem to sell them, but I cant vouch for them as a retailler)
Yeah the guy at the garage offered to order one for £30 but I had already bought the plug by then. May get one next service.

Jeez, that took some time. I give the NHS the finger a while ago in place of Private care and it was one of the best things ive ever done. I feel sorry for the doctors and nurses who work in it though as they want to help but get tied up in waiting lists, red tape and budgets. Wish I could ask for a refund on NI though

How do these compare to the brembo's?

Most people just don't have the same passion for detailing and car cleaning as us, its alien to them. I found my dads cat sleeping on top of his mr2 today and he said "aw he always does it", I almost booted his arse half way across the back garden (and the cats)
.

I never swapped over the rubber or plastic bits on mine.

No, its simply a replacement for the drain plug in the bottom of the oil sump, it has a magnetic tip which catches any metal filings or debris floating around, it protects the engine internals and gives a good indication of any engine damage when changing the oil. Its not required but i prefer to be safe.

Hey I was having a think on how best to assess the performance of the traders on here and I come up with this:
As the professional traders now have their own sections, why not have a sticky thread at the top of these individual sections called "seller feedback" or something like that.
In this thread customers copy a predetermined format where they score the seller a mark out of 5 'Z''s, 1- Being rubbish and 5- Being excellent, there will also be space at the end to write a quick comment.
For example.
Feedback for "A Seller"
Customer Service - Z Z Z Z
Value For Money - Z Z Z Z
Speed of Delivery - Z Z Z Z Z
Product Quality - Z Z
Comments:
" I recently bought so and so from so and so, and have to say the service I recieved was second to none, the product wasn't too great so they offered a full refund with no issues at all".
The only problem I can see with this is moderation, it would have to be kept souly for feedback, no comments, if there are any problems between sellers and buyers these should be dealt with in private, or if required a seperate thread.
Whats everyones opinion of this? It would make it simple for new members to assess where best to spend their cash.

Yeah, depending on the milage you can also miss out the spark plugs (£50) I think you only need to change them every 50K or something like that, plus you dont really need a magnetic sump plug, its just good for piece of mind.

Silkolene Pro 10-50W (Engine oil) - Opie Oil
K&N Oil Filter - Ebay
Silkolene Syn 5 (Diff oil) - Opie Oil
Amsoil (Gearbox oil) - Opie Oil
Motil 660 (Brake Fluid) - Opie Oil
Denso Iriduim Spark Plugs - Opie Oil
HEL Carbon Fibre Braided Lines - CS
Japspeed Magnetic Sump Plug - Japspeed
I recon it was a bit over £300 for that lot, factoring in the price of the HEL lines. Its pays to buy bits seperatly, some places would charge around £460 for that!!!!!
Would definatly recommened Opie Oils, top service

Welcome matey, my dad is a member of MR2OC and he is planning the woodsport v6 conversion this year, always had a softspot for the MK2, driven his a few times, the twin cams are nice but I missed the grunt and buckets of torque.
