Check to boot cover, (the bit of mesh on the bootlid that covers the front of the boot). I found that this squeaks, try removing it and see if it stops.

Thanks for the response folks, was thinking of booking it for Aug/Sept as I know it can get seriously hot there in June/July plus its spring break and i don't think the other half would appreciate me walking around with my eyes on stalks.

seems quite expensive for 2 strips of carbon !

They are similar to the ones I have. I've taken mine off for the moment as i plan to mod my headlights..not sure if they are going back on though.
