  1. Right,got a list of stuff to do to the Datsun before Leman,as its now due its service. Was a P1 last year.

    Was thinking of doing Gearbox oil,and possible diff oil,engine oil and filter,brake fluid change and braided HEL hoses,serpentine belt to go with my new lightweight pullies,and change the spark plugs. Is there anything else that i may need to do,or is recommended? I was wondering about a coolant change,but this seems to cause more trouble than its worth.

  2. Me and the Mrs are going in Zed this year. Travelling down on the Thursday. Hope to see some fellow members there. Got abit of a mad rush to get the car sorted for then,but should be fine. Going with my mate on his mk5 888 Astra.

    Im looking forward to the tunnels!

  3. I went for Falken 452's,and paid £560 delivered. Also got them fitted for free after the tyre place damaged my wheels. It works out alot cheaper to buy the tyres separate if you can be bothered with the hassle,as you save yourself a fair chuck of money.

  4. Well i went 245 on the front,you could probably get away with 265max,and the rears you could probably get away with 305,but 295 would look good. Iv got 275,and they look abit stretched.

  5. That was without spacers chap. 9.5 front-10.5 rear. When i replace the rears,il be going for 295 instead of the 275,as not a huge fan of the stretched look.

I must say i was very underwhelmed when i saw pics of the new car,as it was lauded to advertise loads of new features and designs etc. But looking at the Countach to Diablo change,then Diablo to Murci,and now the Murci to Aventador,you can see progressive evolution. You can see areas of the previous car in it yes,but evolved and moved on. The advert is great,really gripping and powerful. Just like the car.

    Iv looked at the part this morning,and know how im going to make it now. Also stripped the badge and the vinyl wrap off so its ready for filling and prepping now. Hope to get the mould made this week,as shouldnt take too long to do.

  8. No many people using the poll,but the few that have seem to mostly want the cover with the dimples in. Its no issue,its just so i know what to make. Iv seen a few threads about people making carbon rear strut covers,but as these are wet laminate,there is always weave distortion and it never looks quite right. Mine will be pre preg carbon material,cured and bagged in an autoclave.

  9. Id be interested in the whole kit of your going to be making it. Wanted the V2 front with the CS rear for a while now. I personally wouldnt have the lip on the front in carbon,unless you are going to be making it from pre preg material,as the weave distortion could be pretty bad due to the shape,but thats just my opinion. Id be happy just to have it out of glass. Keep us updated.

  10. Right looking at getting the mould for these made next week. Im curious as to what to do with the dimples that are on the part,either side of the Z badge. Would people just want a flat over,or would the dimples be preferred? Iv decided to make them without the Z badge recess and holes,as i think most people would want them with either another badge or just without.

  11. Did anyone watch the F1 forum afterwards. One of the Red Bull team members suggested Button stopped in Vettels pit-lane on purpose and called Mclaren cheats :surrender: I thought he was joking at first but for sure DC and JH weren't sure either if he was joking or been serious :shrug:

     

    Yes i saw that. Thats Crunch,Marks No1 mechanic. I couldnt really believe it myself to be honest,was abit shocking. But hes entitled to his views and opinions.
