  1. Got a heads up yesterday morning that Nissan want any owners to park in a specific area together today for a filming and photo shoot. After abit of swearing and seeing how dirty my car was, proceeded to give her a quick wash before work yesterday, then at work its poured with rain,so got up at 6.30 this morning and gave her a quick spritz with QD and took her to work. First Nissan owners there, and as it worked out, we happened to park in order of manufacture, though only noticed this when uploading the photo. Not working till 2,but couldnt miss the opportunity.

As i left them at work.

  2. Only a 4" screen? S3 FTW :#1: Got the 32gb model and stuck in a 32gb sd card for £12 totalling 64gb! :) Yes i will never need that much i know but it's at least a talking point in the pub!

It was a tough one deciding between the HTC One X and the S3 for me (both great phones) but the Samsung's superior battery life was the clincher for me. :)

A good friend of mine has an S3,and i thought it was way too large, and actually using it was nowhere near as intuitive or as user friendly as an Apple product.

A 4" screen is perfectly fine, besides, they have a tablet for things like movies etc,and an Ipad Nano coming, so why would they make the phone screen bigger?

I know it dont look much different, but its whats inside that counts, and from what iv seen, its pretty decent, and im sure the look and feel of it will be superb, as it is with all Apple products, im yet to come across one that feels cheap and nasty. It feels well engineered, which is more than can be said for some rival products.

  3. There has been alot of topics on making the gearbox smoother etc,and many garages think that putting any rated gearbox oil in is fine, but you will find that using the proper Nissan stuff with the Moly slip additive will probably make a bigger difference than you think, and will improve the shift more than any other oil combo.

  4. I was on a ship off the coast of the US, and berthed in Newark 4 days after the towers collapsed.

The entire of Manhattan was still a dust cloud as we sailed past.

I went back for the first time last year and visited the memorial. Very moving.

I see on FB today many people going on about conspiracies etc etc. pisses me off.

Let's just remember those lost on this day, and use the rest of the year to spout theories and ideas.

Indeed, some pretty damning conclusions out there, but today is about the people that were caught up in it and lost their lives or loved ones. I was just about to leave work when the 2nd plane hit,and remember walking past Tesco on my way home seeing all the TV's just inside the door (now at the back of the store) and seeing all the TV's with news channels on showing it all. Got home and watched it for hours.

  5. lol, well a one for one swap with someone would be preferable, i know they are rare as hens teeth!

I assume you replaced yours with a rebuild/low milage one?

what year and miles is yours? Mine packed in at 70k/km 3rd was crunching (is) fourth felt really hard to get in, crunch in 1st and 2nd but that went away :scare: replacing (hopefully happening as I type this..) with a CD009 donor box that has better design and should last a good bit longer. What oil are you / have you been using? When I stuck Nissan oem oil in and a shot of.. mmm can't remember what it's called it behaved better, think I knackered mine with shortshifter / redline oil combo!

Might be better trying to get a CD009 depending on refurbing costs.

If the CD009 box is the one from the HR,then i was pretty reliably informed that these do not fit on the De engine, and the Bell housing is a different shape,so maybe worth checking if you havnt already that it will fit.

To the OP,trying genuine Nissan gearbox oil with Moly slip :pmzmanalex: and see how you get on with that,as you may save yourself a fortune.

  6. Nice site and good luck with the venture

I will be picking your brains at some point

Cool :) and ignore the shipping to UK only info, for people I know, if you want anything I can ship to Canada (or deliver it myself and not come back )

Daryl, the unity remote is a great little device for the money, quite flexible too as you can program your own custom IR devices.

I currently have a Logitech 1000 or something, and my mrs finds it abit of a pain, and not actually programmed it for the sky box so havnt used it in 6 months. Is this a better piece of kit?

  7. Instructions state that having the front on the softest setting reduces understeer, and having the back on the hardest setting increases oversteer. Not sure now that would work on your car,but surely the fundamentals are the same. Makes the car corner alot flatter than standard.

I already have quite alot of uprated parts already and she's pretty stiff. If i it these I may end up having to soften my suspension setup to compensate. If I have to do that then there's no point in fitting them. Obviously in the dry it's fine but wet handling is very important and right now she's pretty perfect.

Well its not a massive job to fit/unfit them,so you could leave them on a week, and have a play with them, and see what you think. But understand if you just wanted to sell them,as they would be worth more unused than used.
