  1. ok iv checked the fuse's in the footwell and the fuse's in the battery compartment non have blown, are there any other fuse's anywhere i might of missed? also i pushed that earth in the footwell into where i thought it went and blew a 15 amp fuse in the footwell but doesnt seem to have effected the car at all oddly. Could the dash lights have anything to do with the pods being disconnected?

  2. had ignition wire, batt wire and earth wire attatched, the earth wire got disconnected and the unit went off, thats the last time ignition wire had power, found an earth wire in the foot well above the fuse box disconnected from a white plug but this could be unrelated as iv only found it when checking the fuses. unsure where the earth wire goes as there are a few options.

  3. as everyone says tom tom one xl fits nicely without the power connection, i put mine in there sometimes but theres always a chance it'll pop out if you accelerate hard or throw the zed around a bit, you could always put some velcro along the back of the tomtom to make sure it stays in the cubby then you can still take it out for charging. Im going to put an lcd in my cubby now so itll have to live on the windscreen again. B)

  4. Im not sure if this is normal but the other day after driving a while i noticed alot of heat coming from the panel/cover which has the D,N,R,P letters on it. So is this ok or does is suggest i need fluid change in the transmittion? Or...... could it be that the heating for the car is routed via this panel and thats why it feels hot ??

  5. You actually have a few options mate, im in the same boat as you with radio 2, Iv just bought a belkin tune fm to use with my ipod, it has a jap frequency option so you get our ipod on interference free, you could also get a frequency booster which would allow you to recieve uk broadcasts (think there about a tenner) or the option your looking at, replace the head unit. Ill eventually change the head unit but until i decide what i want this works great. hope this helps.

  6. Hi all, just purchased the belkin tunefm, it has a 'hidden' feature which is not mentioned in the manual and is handy for those of us who still have jap frequency on ze radio, basically pressing preset buttons 1 and 4 together allows you to enter the jap frequncy mode. Because very little radio programs broadcast on these frequencies you'll get a clear signal with no interference. Apart from that it comes with an ipod charger for your lighter socket aswell, nice.

  7. ok so i found out what was happining, quite silly really, the button on the change lever wasnt quite interlocking in the park position so the key lock was still active, i found this out when id put it in to park and the key got stuck again, then i went to turn my radio off and my hand knocked the change lever slightly and it popped in fully. amazing.

  8. Seems like a daft question but what does this button do? in icy conditions the snow button seems to restrict power to the wheels but does it affect traction control setup and the like, does the power button give you more power or change gear ratio perhaps? also does this have any effect whilst driving tiptronic?

  9. Yeah its an auto/tronic, yep, in to park as normal but key wont come out, like i said its only happened twice but cant think what else could cause the key to be held. I did threaten to call the cops on it but then i realised id have to walk home :)

  10. Twice iv parked my zed and the key will not turn all the way back allowing me to remove it, if i start the car again and drive maybe to another parking space then the key can be removed as normal, its not the steering lock as iv tried turning the wheel to free the key, any ideas??
