I wish I had now but kind of difficult now I have no back box on
-
Was attempting to remove my back box today to fit my single silencers, what a pain in the butt that was. Took me all day to end up with no back box on the car, 2 broken studs and 2 nuts I had to cut off.
Tomorrow's job is to get a g clamp to push the studs out of the mid section then I'm good to go!

I'm very interested in the exhausts mate. Just need to wait till payday to see if I've got enough to spare
-
Did you ever have thever exhaust fitted without berks? If so how did it sound? I'd like an exhaust that just gives a nice rumble nothing to much though and no drone at motorway speed
-
Well first of all I've had this car now for around 2 months and already have a very long list of things I want to do. I was going to jump straight in for exhaust and bits etc and then slowed down and thought I wanted it to look right first.
Being a black car the previous owner didn't love it as much as I want to. So the first list is:
Full detail with 3 stage polish and ceramic sealant
Alloys refurbed
Calipers different colour
This is to start with. I want to stick with the gt ultimate theme so probs going Orange on the calipers. Also thinking possibly shadow chrome for alloys.
So far the only upgrade I've done is gtr start button which makes me smile every time I get in
Few pics of car so far. Took after I gave it a bit of a polish. Going into detailers next week for 3 days. Can't wait.
I know it's not as exciting as some peoples but I've got time to get something done

Any power difference?

Very nice mate. Hope you enjoy

Well i went to buy a 370z from a dealer and got told it was 'spot on pefect' travelled nearly 100miles and looked like someone had tipped gravel over the front of the car. Tried to fob me off it was spot on for its age. Gimps
-
I came back to 370z after having a 350z few years ago, in between had mini cooper s jcw, civic type r and an audi a4 3.2 convertible(proper had a brain blip on this one). One model hasnt been mentioned and thats the gt ultimate which i have. Only came upto 2010 i think so early car but same as gt spec but with orange leather and suede interior. Just makes it a bit different.
Look out for the nav. In mine its a dvd based ssystem, works fine for me i think post '60 reg its the premium nav which is harddrive based and has full usb integration and touch screen.
Depends what you want, i wanted different colour interior over the other bits, i still have sat nav which is what i wanted and have aux in for music.
I looked at caymans, boxsters etc and they are so boring inside plus lot older for same money and extras are few and far between. I picked up a fnsh 370z gt ultimate 24k miles for £16300. And proper service history to the 12 months not mileage which was ace.
Just shop around. Dont rush and get the one you really want. I love the 370z because its not sofisticated! Its not a bmw or audi or porsche. Its special. Stuff like m3 is nice but in my opinion isnt as smart as the 370z.

Do people think if I did ecu reset it may help?
-
Unfortunately it's not that beep mate. It's def the beep when you leave the keys in the car and try lock it, but it's happening when I shut the door and get in. Doesn't happen when I'm outside
-
well took it to nissan today and mechanics have never seen it before and not sure why, if i want them to look and diagnose they want over £100 just to look.
-
Thanks for your help. Think it might be Nissan route.
-
I'll try it but that's referring to the horn function when lock and unlock. Mine is the fast beeps when you try lock the car with the keys in
-
No def not I have both. Only happens when I get in the car with the key or intentionally leave it in there when I tested the noise. Doesn't happen when I get out with the keys
-
Batteries are fine mate. It's a fast beep when I shut the door with the keys inside
-
The beeping I'm talking about is the "trying to lock the car beep with intelligent key inside" beep so the fast ones. It happens every time I get in and shut the door. Even with the keys in my hand so no chance of accidentally pressing the lock button.
Anyone else had this?

Right pics will be up tomorrow when I've polished and clean. For some reason there is rather a lot of dead flies on the front. Funny because I was crawling along the M42 in traffic
-
Well after the mess I had with the blue one from Nissan I've found a 59 reg black GT ultimate, only done 24k miles full NSH which I thought was ace. Obviously has nav but only dvd one.
Got loads of plans including Orange calipers! Can't wait. First thing though is to touch up few stone chips. Will post pics ASAP.

Where abouts are you? I've seen the ad on autotrader says your 200 odd miles from me?
-
Wow....What a cracking looking car
-
Where abouts are you? And looking at the book am I right in thinking it's due a service? Obviously on time rather than mileage

Well I ended up drilling holes through them. Fitted back boxes drove out, was too loud all the time so took back off and refitted standard. I thought at certain bits had nice deep tone but it gad noise all low down. Even driving carefully had quite a boom.
Oh well back on the hunt
