  1. Hi guys following on from my threads on finding a supplyer and tyres sizes for these wheels it has now come down to the offset. I have gonew for 245/40/18 on the front and 275/40/18 on the rear each on a 9.5 rim.

Unfortunately the wheels are only available in offsets of et12 and et30, which leads my to my next question!

I would like the wheels to sit on the edge of the arches but i definately dont want them to protrude from the arch itself, from the offsets above what would be the best option for my requirements?

Anyone who had any advice or pointers i would be hugely greatfull.

  2. I'm looking at buying some rota torque drifts, but they are only available in 9.5 at the moment. my question is will a 245 tyre fit on the rim? i was thinking of going with the 9.5 width and using a 275/45/18 on the rear and 245/45/18 on the front. Can anyone see any problems with this?

  3. Ok, i'm now in a position where im ready to place the order.

I have spoken to a few places, Rare Rims have reccomended 18x8.5 et 35 front and 18x9.5 et 30 at the rear. Envy have said 18x8.5 et 30 (with spacer) front and 18x9.5 et 12 for the rear. To be honest Envy sound the better option as they will sit nearer the wheel arch which is what i want.

The only other dillema i have is wether to get the 9.5 on front too, the reason why i would prefer 8.5 is just for the cost of tyres, on the other hand the bigger dish that i would get from the 9.5's on the front would look better.... hmmm.

What does everyone think? any advice or opinions would be great.

  4. Hi Nath,

We are a Rota dealer, I'll be happy to supply.

Rota do recommend though that you run a 18x9.5 +12 all round, as the staggered size (8.5" front) wheel wouldn't clear the Brembo's without a spacer - which is fine to run and we can supply if need be.

    Best Regards,

    Gaz

I'd prefer them in the staggered set up as i dont want to be buying huge tyres for the front too, do you supply them in various offsets? i'd like to not have to use spacers and get a similar look to the car in the pictures in my above post.

  5. After a lot of thought i have decided that it is these wheels that i want, im having trouble finding them in 18 x 8.5 and 18.95 in the correct colour and offset.

My car is in GM and having seena pic of a car with the Torque Drifts in the GM colour they really do look lovely.

Does anyone know where i can get my hands on a set or if any of the traders sell them.

    Many thank,

    Nath

  6. I've been looking for a set of alloy is like for a while that dont cost the earth, i have narrowed it down to a set of GT4 alloys or Rota Torque Drifts.

I do like the Rota's but they are looking around £1400 with tyres.

If anyone has a set they are wanted to sell please get in touch.

    Nath.

Is there a fix for this or will i have to edit all the links when i open them?

    Nathan.

  10. Nope it is absolutely bog standard.... for now.

With the money im getting from the sale of my coupe im looking at the nismo kit then some tidy alloys that wont break the bank! plus an exhaust/pop charger.

Thats the trouble when you buy a new car, you go through the forums see what mod's you can do, i've started a list before i've even picked it up lol.

    I'm a very happy chappy :)

The only thing about it was the insturment panel on the drivers door was a bit scratched but im sure i can source a new or carbon one at some point :)
