Exactly what I was thinking. It will easily kick in from second to third if you are aggressive. It's more fun with it off anyway as long as you are paying attention of course.

I've been meaning to do my first track day at some stage. Could you tell me about any noise regulations that operate? I'm worried that my DC sports exhaust may be a tad loud!!

I detest the latest VW golf one. Specifically the bit where they are looking into the engine bay of a modded golf and he mentions the sump and then DOHC and the guy says "like a golf" as if it is only golfs that can have DOHCs. I'm never a fan of the use of technical terms just for glitter.

Also any mention of "natural defences" as is such a weasel term trying to make you think that there is science behind all these yakult-type things.

It's difficult to find an independent Nissan specialist in the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area as I have found out. Would be nice if anyone from around this area could share their experience.

Yeah I'd be interested in finding somebody in the area who does good work with the Zed. At the moment I take mine back where I got it from .... Westway Stourbridge.

Yeah I saw that it was funny, serves him right for being silly and not looking in his mirrors.

I don't think parking in two spaces is on, people will think you are a **** and probably park next to you to annoy you.

 

I usually just park normally as far away from the entrance to the shop as possible, as that way you're less likely to get people parking next to you anyway as they're all lazy bastards.

This is what I do and have had no problems, its not that far even if its a large car park, better a little walk than lots of maneuvering or dents.

I once had a random old guy complement me on my nice car and sensible parking away from the crowded area. You see some people squeeze into tiny spaces all to save about 20 seconds walking!!!

I'm so sad, I was watching motorway cops and spotted a zed next to a crappy old rover in the traffic. Does anybody else feel a bit nerdy when they spot a zed on TV?

I've seen 2 in the nottingham area and one in the middle of the city in London. One of the Notts ones was black, the other white and they both looked awesome. The one in London was a really shinny light silver and was probably my favourite colour.

I agree with you about the black being quite stealthy... I think I'd quite like that if i owned one though

Mine is even more confusing... its a UK car but was registered under the PLG (Private/Light Goods) so it goes on engine size rather than emissions which means its less than the £215.

As far as I am aware the science on this is somewhat iffy. For £1.50 it doesn't seem too expensive to take a fly on, but do some reading around first and see what you think.

This morning's effort resulted in a 1'59.211

It's more frustrating than golf, I can't imagine how somebody got 1min54 as the online record, i may watch their replay later.

Ok thanks will take a look, I purchased some rear LED lights off you so would have no problem getting brake stuff I know the rear disks are quite worn, they have a very noticeable lip. I have EBC turbo grooved disks and ferrodo DS2500 pads on the front so I'd want to try and match the rears if you have those?

Might the problem be that I need new rear pads and discs, I think the fronts were replaced just before I got the car.

Professional physics? And no driver aids I assume. Also aren't there two layouts? I will get on it after anchorman.

Does the noise go away when you touch the brakes?

I'm hoping somebody can help me track down an annoying noise. It sounds like a brushing oscillating sound coming from the driver's side of the car. It's very noticeable when driving near a wall with the window open where the sound goes straight back into my ear and gets on my nerves. I've had a glance around and nothing seems obviously flapping around but recently it has got louder so I'm hoping someone has a suggestion as to where to look. If you need any further clarification as to what the noise is like ask away....

I'm becoming so cynical in my old age that I really can't see that not being a photoshop. The squirrel is too high resolution. But oh well at least it will brighten up a few people's days.

Yeah I saw the 370 in the flesh last week at another Westway and was unimpressed. I'm sure its a fine car but I didn't get any wow factor from it the 350 just seems to have something that you can't put your finger on and the 370 seems like its been a little germanised and suffered a little for it.
