Forgot to mention i`m just up the road in sunny Porthcawl if you need any help.

Hi and Rich. Hope the problems aint too serious with your car. Don`t forget a lot of problems can be sorted with the help of fellow zed owners at little or no cost to yourself. A problem shared is a problem halved

Thats a big NOWas that painted? -
I`d better give you the customary and hello once again

Give your local nissan parts department a ring you`ll be suprised In fact i just done it myself and was quoted £432 +vat. Suprisingly the older bonnet without the bulge comes in at £439 + vat, so if the new shape takes your fancy, its a bit cheaper as well.

Totally agree with the wax. If there was a wax on the market that could resist stone chips like the paintshield product, then a few £100 bucks for a tub of wax would be money well spent. The shine on my car is as good as it gets , whether you spend £20 or £200 on wax the difference would be negligible, thats my opinion anyway.

Many thanks to Pete for now having the cleanest 350Z in Wales! The only problem i`ve got is the car is parked in my garage and i`m too afraid to take it out in case it gets dirty again Jokes aside, Pete did a brilliant job, very helpful, and i wouldn`t hesitate in recommending him. His cleaning tips should help me keep the car in tip top condition too.

Yeah exactly, the trouble is i cannot source these parts over here, so the usa was my only option. So far the price is £70, which aint to bad really. If i bought 1 set then i would of paid £90 before import duty, so still happy.

As long as you take your time and bend it to match the curve then they shouldn`t become unstuck. Mine have been on for nearly 3 months and are still stuck solid.

Now is as good as any time to buy a zed Hi and good luck with your search

Had a call from the shipping company UPS, and i`ve been stung for import tax TW@TS!!! Had to pay an extra £68 Will work out exactly how much the center caps are going to be after i try and get a good nights sleep

to the forum. Change all the nissan badges to `Z` ones is a good first and subtle mod.

Hi mate, yeah they charged me £280 to strip and repaint my type r wheels, but their work was faultless. A few of my mates had wheels refurbed and again couldn`t fault them.I always found renowheel to be expensive. I've used Alloy Polishing Services in Swansea a few times, will be taking my wheel there as soon as i can be bothered to take it off and get the tyre removed -
I used them to refurbish a set of type r wheels, and they done a superb job. By the way i`ve still got them, still wrapped up and never had tyres fitted. Part-exd for the zed before i got chance to put them on. Selling them if anyone wants them
Nissan told me today that they wont replace under warranty as its not part of bodywork. My car is just over 4 yrs old so if it was still in the 3 yr warranty then they would have been replaced. Same goes for the wheels. The price for the wiper arms are £85 +vat for drivers side and £69+vat for the other Anyway stuff nissan, i went to Renowheels in Bridgend and they are going to redo my wiper arms for £15 and get a few marks out of a wheel for £30. Happy days all roundGot both of mine replaced under warranty. The price is ridiculous to buy them at the dealers - can't remember exactly how much they would have been, but laughed like a drain when told!Good for you.. I've used Renowheel myself in the past and they do a really good job.

And me any day UK zeds are less hassle at the end of the day and are apparantly slightly cheaper to insure.i would go for gt pack if given the choisehappy hunting
-
Hi and Buy an already imported car, saves all the hassle and wait. Just make sure you know what to look for and get advice if needed.
-
Ordered them from courtesyparts, with postage they work out at about £60, but if i get stung for customs tax maybe looking at a bit more
-
May well b, i`ll see what nissan has to say in the morning.
-
My drivers side wiper arm has started corroding and the paint is coming off. Rather than rub it down and repaint it, has anyone got a spare one or point me in the right direction for a good one. I`ll probably ask at my local nissan stealers tomorrow for a laugh, and see what stupid price they come up with, just in case.

If i had a black zed that is exactly how i`d want it to look, absolute sex on wheels Fantastic job mate.

I used dental floss and it was a hot day! wear good gloves otherwise it could cut into you, due to the force needed.
