  1. Not looking for p/x on this I'm affraid mate - just put a deposit down on an accord type r.
  2. Sorry to hear that mate - that really does suck - it's just cash out of your pocket. Think I'm going to have to get mine repaired to have the best chance of a sale. Thanks,
  3. Is that near Watford? If so I'm about 30mins away - is he any good? Happy to travel for a good job. Thanks,
  4. Hello, I am looking to get some rear quarter panel surface damage work done after a car park scrape (not my fault) and after some fool keyed it. Can anybody recommend a bodyshop in Hertfordshire or surrounding counties as I want to make sure I get a decent job done. I am trying to sell the car due to lack of use and this lets it down at the moment. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
  5. Think I will get the damage repaired on this - want to get quotes before deciding whether to go through insurance. Does anybody know any good bodyshops in or around Hertfordshire? (Essex/Middlesex okay) Ideally I'd use one that is recomended to make sure they do a decent job. Anybody had similar repairs carried out and at what cost? Thanks, Matt
  6. I wouldn't buy it like that no but then I don't know anybody in the trade who can sort it out and am not looking for a car to mod which may need more body work done. If I was keeping the car I'd defo get it fixed but I just thought I'd offer in either state incase anybody wanted to save some cash - I'm not refussing to get it done at all I just thought I'd offer it at a cheaper price first before I get it done as this may suit some people. It's annoying because the rest of the car is spot-on - when I bought the car is was in so much better condition than the others I looked at and it's just some poor driver and a mindless idiot that have caused this damage.
  7. Fair comment - just thought if someone was after a car to mod or was in the trade/can get mates rates they may be able to get it done cheaper and save some cash, it's only surface damage so hopefully won't cost me too much.
  8. Right this should work - there are quite a few photos on here. http://s709.photobucket.com/albums/ww92/ab20000/ Thanks,
  9. Okay I've got some photos now - can anybody tell me how to post them up in the thread?[/img]
  10. Tell me about it mate, it just serves no purpose at all. Was even more annoyed about the car park knock though as I only took it as the girlfriends run-around was in the garage for a few days, parked as far away from the shop as possible as well, just don't understand who would hit another car and drive off, at least it's not too bad I guess and should be easy enough to repair.
  11. Probably best - I guess peoples interpretation of minor can be different, either way it'll be sorted before I sell or price adjusted from the £10k quoted. Back from holiday late on Saturday so I'll try to get some pics up on Sunday. Thanks,
  12. Thought it'd be worth mentioning that the car currently has a small knock on the back rear passanger quarter panel - this really is a minor knock, it was a car park scrape from an inept driver who didn't leave their details. It will be fully repaired before I sell it or I'd be happy to knock the repair cost off the price (if anybody wants a car to mod). Also it has a small scratch (looks like a key) on the rear drivers side, again the same as above applies. If the cost for these is too much however I will go through my insuarance and get them both sorted. Just want to be 100% down the line with everything that is wrong at the moment. Happy to post pictures of both if anybody wants to see them. Thanks,
  13. Not 100% decided yet but I might have to sell up soon as I'm just not getting the use out of the car I thought I would. Gauging interest in the region of £10k - this seems reasonable in the current climate. Very good condition UK GT spec - completely standard Black leather 40k miles FNSH Rays (one alloy very slightly curbed) Two new front tyres (452s) Taxed to November 2009 Pictures will follow when I'm back from holiday. Thanks,

    Any ideas?

Garage said they didn't want to replace the clutch on such a new car - they can't have thought this was the problem I guess. They said they couldn't diagnose the problem but did acknowledge it - I'll just suggest turbo boost to them and see what they say.

    Any ideas?

It's in the garage at the moment so I'll suggest the boost leak to them and get them to check it - power doesn't just weaken though it just goes - almost feels like it's been put into neutral while still on the accelerator.

    Any ideas?

Okay so sounds like clutch or boost - if it's boost would the power just go completely though?

    Any ideas?

sorry missed last question - revs fine at idle - not sure how it revs past 3,000rpm - not tried it and the car is not here to try

    Any ideas?

What am I listening out for if it's a turbo problem?
  19. ab20000

    Any ideas?

Yes they keep going past 3,000 - seems smooth still past 3,000 just no drive. Can get over 3,000 if I’m careful and build the revs really slowly.

    Any ideas?

It's never driven hard so hopefully it's not a knackered clutch after 6,000 miles (although warranty should cover it). It feels fine until 3,000 rpm.

    Any ideas?

I need some help diagnosing a problem with the second car, it's a 2008 1.4ltr diesel that has only done about 6,000 miles. Every time you go over 3,000rpm the engine keeps revving without any power going to the wheels - to get back power you have to drop down below 3,000rpm again. The car clearly shouldn't be doing this - not sure if it's related but at about 2,000rpm in 3rd and 4th the car gets a judder - like it's about to stall - it never does though. The reason I ask is the garage don't seem to know what it is even though they have acknowledged the problem. Any help appreciated.
  22. Phil, Did you get off-set / size details on the 19s? Thanks,
  23. Thanks Digsy - can I ask where you saw this re the GTRs? I looked on the US site (rotawheels.com) and they say 19 x 8.5 - 25 off-set only.
  24. Any news on other 19s (TDs specifically) and off-sets yet Phil?
