Vehicles manufactured in Japan and shipped from Japan: 0% import duty + 20% VAT (Subject to HMRC Approval) All other vehicles:10% import duty + 20% VAT Duties and VAT are calculated on the combined value of the vehicle purchase price and shipping costs. For vehicles manufactured in Japan, you can claim a 0% import duty preference under the UK-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), provided you have a proper Statement of Origin from the exporter. Vehicles manufactured elsewhere face the standard 10% duty. For anyone thinking of importing any newer Japanese cars. UK and EU have an agreement with Japan

Nice one thanks I need this MOT'd soon, and I was planning on a service and upgrades (I will supply them with the items I buy). I was wondering about putting some height into the car ( not much though- a couple of inches, max) ), these roads are a bomb-site. Has anyone actually added height to their Z? All I've seen is folk lowering theirs... - Today

Hi all, just got 370 z 2014 from auction house in US. In front me are happy days of repairing the car. Already have an issue with starting the car. The key can open and close doors but when clicking on the Start button on the dashboard there is just that orange icon car with key inside blipping. You can not see millage or nothing on the dashboard just that icon blipping. Changed battery of the car, battery of the keys, no help...maybe someone can guide me in the right direction.

I had this code on 370gt(g37) 2009, and it went through different shops that couldn’t sort it and costed an arm an a leg for fk all. I just end up buying some aftermarket cats, when the shop was going to install the cats they found a sensor on the inside edge of the exhaust manifold was blown out of its socket. I didn’t even know there was a sensor in there neither did the shops. Could be that

Hello and welcome. I've had my 370Z Roadster for over 7 years now, and I don't see all that many out and about either.

The bung locations I believe are for different years and engines DE/Rev Up/HR. It will be a universal aftermarket cat. The OE cat has 2 substrates (the honeycombe filter bit) a HFC will have only one. The 'pre cat' sensor is for air fuel ratio, the 'post cat' monitors the cat efficiency. You'll likely want to get the post cat sensors disabled so they don't throw a fault, so it doesn't really matter which bung you use. Fit the sensors back to suit a tidy harness run.

I am far from expert, I took my MX5 to someone to take care of it, on the basis that before any underselling is done, it had to be prepped first. Wirebrushed off the surface rust, rust convert anything else, into the cavities etc, then it gets sealed after. You're right to be cautious, I know a garage who see a lot of jap stuff and they have said since a lot of people DIY'd undersealing during the pandemic when they had lots of time and nothing to do, they've seen an uptick in rotten subframes with protection on top. I am assuming that given yours is relatively new, it shouldn't be too bad underneath right now, but I would suggest you get a look under there and then either bone up on the process if you're doing it yourself, or try and find a good provider who talk you through what their process is. You can never be 100% sure, you have to trust your judgement.

I have a 350z 2007 with a vq35de I have just purchased japspeed sports cats from japseed themselves. after looking at my current regular cats that are fitted I noticed a 02 sensor in the middle of both cats. There is also a pre cat sensor mounted on my exhaust manifolds ( not on the cat section ) the new sports cats only have one cat each side on the lower part of the exhaust with two 02 sensor mountings. these mounts are in a completely different place to where mine are currently. i was wondering if anybody new about this have I purchased the wrong cats ( EVEN THOUGH MY CAR IS A VQ35DE ) please help…..

Latest update, pulled the rear bumper over the weekend. Found some surface rust but all pretty minor, so cleaned that up while I can access it all before I put the new rear bumper on. Just waiting for some matte silver paint to arrive to finish it off. No doubt these pics will be in a random order 😂

Still had problems going into 4th so have reverted back to the OE shifter. Now feels much much easier (although more sloppy) going into all gears. I think the coolerworx shifter mounting to the tunnel and not the gearbox means under heavy loads when the gearbox is moving around slightly the rifle precision of the shifter does not marry upto the position of the linkage. never the less, the oil situation remains the same in that I will only be using the redline stuff moving forwards.

Thanks Stu (assuming your name is Stu haha). I don't suppose you've any recommendations on what style of underseal to get done ie: products etc? I gather if it's done poorly it can cause more harm than good?

Looking at potentially buying this 350z https://www.evoke-classics.com/auction/#/lots/1535 but can see previous MOT advisories for corroded sills and underside. The pictures show the underside but I’m no fabricator and need some advice on the condition please. is this too much ie will it cost a load to resolve, or is this a managable level of corrosion? Thanks all

Hello from Basingstoke! 370 roadster owner for nearly a year and a half but thought I'd pop on here and see what was going on as it's always cool exchanging waves for the other Z owners I see while I'm driving - which does seem to be a rare occurrence in my part of the world, but I guess that makes it a bit more special
