Generally if you add 22% to your payment total you shouldn't receive any nasty surprises from the carrier. Ensure you are fully insured for your equipment and its not just based on weight...as several people have found to their cost! £7 -£15 per kilo aint much if goods are worth £700. As a final note from me - messing with the C&E and the VAT man can end in tears...remember they have greater powers than the Police and you could lose everything.
