blower randomly turns on

As title suggests. Sometimes my blower randomly goes mad and turns on full whack when its set to off? Any idea? Usualy car off and on fixes it

I think it has to do with the AC knob or switch itself or maybe a bad AC ribbon cord???had the same issue with Mrs Buster awhile back ...swopped over the ribbon cord and it was fine...located behind contol panel below stereo.

I think you're right Buster. I know this is due to trying to change the gearknob.. and failing would Zmanalex have one?. Is it easy to change?

I may be completely wrong, but could it just be that your aircon is set to 'auto'? From my memory of the 350 system, every time you hold down the aircon 'auto' button for 2 seconds it toggles between auto and manual.

 

Apologies if you already knew this and it's not the answer.

 

Alternatively, if you weren't aware of it, it may be worth trying before you spend money.
