Anth4130 Posted July 2, 2014 Share Posted July 2, 2014 I am making my own system with a GTR exhaust but I don't want to try and make the original GTR rear section fit by cutting and welding everything to make it narrower. After the Y pipe I'm going to put the GTR silencer (that is on the cat pipe) which then splits it back into two. I am just wondering, all depending on space under the car anyways, would it make a difference in sound if I put the back boxes straight after the silencer then run a pipe to the exhaust tips as appose to putting the back boxes just before the exhaust tips? I'm probably just thinking into it too much but thought I'd ask... My thinking is it would echo/enhance the noise coming out of the back boxes? I may not even use the GTR silencer as I have some resonated Ichiba decat pipes on their way. Was going to use the silencer to remove any raspyness if I used straight through decat pipes.
