gear stick gaiter

hi guys I want to change my hand brake gaiter and my gear stick gaiter how do I get the silver ring out ?? also how do I get the cover off on the hand brake ??

Ashtray/Cointray out, remove screw underneath

grab rear part of gear surround and firmly, but carefully pull upwards

under gear surround, remove two screws

move both seats forward until you can see a screw either side, undo them

grabbing below the last screws, pull slightly outward and lift centre console off

OP - where did you get your gaiters from? I want to change both and was wondering if you were happy with them?
