CD player 'check disk'

Anyone come across this problem?

 

Was driving along quite merrily yesterday when the CD player made a horrible scratching noise then stopped playing and the message 'check disk' showed on the screen.

 

Now no matter what CD slot I use I can't get it to play anything just the 'check disk' message is all it shows.

 

Have tried with a few CD's but all have the same problem.

 

Otherwise radio still works fine.

 

Any help much appreciated.

common fault, more noticeable in the winter.

 

You can get it repaired. Look in the I.C.E section for more info

clarion repair them and we get some forum discount. Look in the forum discount section,

 

 

Not sure also but I think a member here called R35LEE used to also repair them. May be worth a pm to see if he does
