Rays - anyone refurbed or sprayed there own?

I've been offered some Rays in need of a refurb. If there are off the car and I've got lots of time could I refurb them myself?

 

There's loads of guides on YouTube. Has anyone done there own and got good results?

About to do some winter wheels, but not for the 350z. Generally you if they are rusty take them back to bare metal, you can treat them. If your on the metal you need etch primer. If your just doing it above the paint you need normal primer but give it a key first. You can use special fillers on alloy wheels I think chemical metal is one. So primer, paint and lacquer.
