Pixellated
Hi guys, My 56 plate GT (Oct 2006) only shipped with one key, so I'd really like to source a replacement or two. I don't particularly want to spend a fortune with the stealer, though. After thoroughly searching the forums, I think I've cracked it, but ideally I'm just after someone to take a look and say "yep, that would work" or "nope, you're being an idiot" . Step 1: Find a replacement key fob. My current key is labelled SWK4 876/818 433 MHz. I believe something like this is what I'm after: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item338490b4c8 Step 2: Find a replacement key blade, and get it cut (any old key cutter on the high street or whatever). Step 3: Buy a new transponder chip. This one?: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3cc60c7f79 Step 4: Reprogram keys following GIXXERUK's guide: http://www.350z-uk.c...ob/#entry248776 I'm bound to have missed something, so I'd love it if someone could just give me a or a . Cheers! Pixel EDIT: The only thing I don't quite understand is where the NATS code fits in. I don't think I've got one but will double-check the books that came with the car in-case it's hanging around in one of them. cs2000
Simpler to buy this (as I have) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121123352427?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 Is the correct model number that you need and comes with a new transponder. Pairing to the car is easy but this only does the central locking, im looking into buying software and the hardware to code these keys myself which will allow the key to start the car. NATS code should be on a metal key-tag attached to the "valet" key. Nissan can provide it I think, as can a piece of software called Supercode Edited August 13, 2013 by cs2000
Pixellated
That's a massive help, thanks! I don't actually have the valet key, and no key-tag with the NATS code - I'm hoping the code has been written down and squirrelled away in one of the books or something. Looks like you can pick up Supercode pretty cheaply - I take it the hardware you need to program the keys is pretty pricey?
cs2000
To buy a consult III yes, but im looking at software called Nissan Data Scan that can do it assuming you have the NATS code. Its essentially 95% of what the Consult system can do, but for less than a tenth of the price. I have bought some software similar to the SuperCode, but this needs data from the imobiliser control unit. From my digging, this is attached to the ignition barrel. Pixellated, if you can find your BCM serial number (and tell me where it is!), il buy the other pieces of software and get you the NATS code, I need it too really.
